a gentle reminder to potential rooters, do not update if you wish to root in the future. the desire z is not a new phone and rooting procedures for new firmwares will probably not roll out as fast as when the phone was still a few months old.

the g2's leaked gingerbread ota was still void of a rooting method.

rooted users no need unroot just to update la. There's a rooted 2.3 stock sense rom by RMK just released today. It is identical to the ones pushed out, just that it is rooted.

IINM updating thru OTA shouldn't touch a thing on the phone, according to a friend using DHD that updated to 2.3.

updated 2nd post to show only frequently updated ROMs and also include untouched rooted stock ROMs.
