Check for updates... it only says improve system performance, guess its not 2.3. How would we know when its available?

Anyway, Apparently the Fre3vo tool can be used to temp root and help downgrade G2 and DZ that were updated to Android 2.3.3 back to pre-OTA builds to allow to proceed with rooting.

This step is not needed to root if you did not update OTA before.

Being a crackflasher the last few days. Played with Virtuous Unity 1.29 and MIUI 1.7.22. In the end went back to CM, now on nightly #146. Nothing feels better than home.

I agree, nothing beats CM.

i downloaded some maps.....but i still cannot see the maps without being on line........and i get a message maps need to be upgraded, but when i try to do so, it seems to fail.........

haiya, so buggy....is there a simple way of downloading and keeping maps on the phone for use without needing to be online?

sucessfully flashed to cm7..im happy, for now
having my taste of GB now..yeah!

djfoo, i'll gv u very simple ways to downgrade frm any version + root..way easier.. + no adb required unless you want to flash

^the simple way = AMT? lol the tool came out only few months ago. The downgrade thing was on XDA for far longer than that. Glad that AMT guided you thru rooting smoothly. It is the One-Click that never appeared for the Vision before.

And to be fair, downgrading doesn't take that long la. It just looks like Martian language to someone that doesn't understand it well. Much like a non-driver trying to understand how to operate an F1 car. I did warn before that updating thru OTA will make matters worse when it comes to rooting.

Regarding MMS, got try getting settings from telco? You get to choose the AP in settings after that.

If you want to feel real smoothness, on CM7 use LauncherPro. Best discovery ever.
If wanna play with overclocking, CM7 has a tuner built in. Go to it under CyanogenMod Settings > Performance Settings. See it fly!

Oh and I broke the 3K barrier in Quadrant, and 1K in Vellamo using the Tiamat kernel by OC-ing to 1.8GHz. Freaking awesome having a phone on top of the charts.

my way of downgrading = use any RUU.
no nid for bla bla adb shit.
then root using AMT.
after that whn u've gain adb permission only start pushing all the files needed for flashing.
