Managed to get my SCB Business Visa Platinum approved Requested on : 21 Feb 2010 Approved on : 23 Feb 2010 I submitted a letter to ask for upgrade from SCB Visa Platinum but they gave additional card. Need to call up to cancel the old card once I receive the new Business Visa Platinum. As usual, charged RM50 for GST BUT the CS says I'm entitled to the RM188 cash back upon first swipe. SCB Biz Plat is one of a few Plat cards that offer unlimited access to KLIA Plaza Premium Lounge HLB/PBB/CIMB/MBB2 Plat cards don't have this convenience pun..

QUOTE(soitsuagain @ Feb 24 2011, 12:26 PM) as long as your salary is credited to your maybank account, you can go to any maybank branch and apply. it is automatically pre-approved. My salary credited to my maybank account. I did asked Maybank, they said unable to have pre-approved even though my salary credited to the bank. Pre-approved is only for selected customer it said.

Actually I take the CS word with a pinch of salt only.... If get RM188, then nicer, else I'm ok to pay RM50 as I can easily earn back the RM50 within a year. I'm more concern to call for Annual Fee waiver ;-) This post has been edited by ronnie: Feb 24 2011, 01:42 PM

QUOTE(fenrir0402 @ Feb 24 2011, 12:49 PM) um, anyone can tell me why credit card must impose financial charges? My goodness ... got this kind of question & mentality also. (Why don't you work for free? You need income right?) Its the bank source of income and that's how they pay their staff.

However IMHO it depends whether he/she thinks that AF justifies the number of visits to Plaza Premium Lounge..

Is this SCB Business Visa Platinum open to businessman only? Does the reward point come with expiry date? I don't think you are entitled for the RM188 cash back. This is only applicable to non-existing SCB customers. Better you confirm again.

Anybody can apply for Business Visa Platinum... not necessary business man..i'm just an employee. SCB ChoicePoints is valid for 3 years (edited) and I like that it can be converted to cash [RM25 = 5000 ChoicePoints] I don't expect to get the RM188 Cash-back.... definitely update this thread if I do get the RM188 free money again This post has been edited by ronnie: Feb 24 2011, 02:33 PM

My SCB Platinum statement shows the points have 3 years validity. Hmm.. maybe I want to try to upgrade too but they just charged GST into my Platinum.

AF for all SCB CCs (except old SCB VI which was open to non-PB customers) can easily be waived upon request. You can go to any bank and the answer is the same.

Think only supplementary card holder can be above 18. Debit card can be below 21.
