MAA doesn't. I think only AIA does. Someone mentioned this last week. Search it.

For Alliance Bank, besides Alliance Platinum credit card and Alliance Platinum debit card, Alliance Premium debit cardholders are also allowed to enter Plaza Premium Lounge.

Only at some Tn'g outlet can reload by credit card but not sure about Amex. Normally i reload by cc at sg. besi toll tn'g outlet.

So, can we suggest to have a page write-up for which merchant can accept Amex, and can be update time by time.

no point having to maintain a list of AMEX accepted merchants. Best to ask before pass ur AMEx to the merchant.

We should spend within our means not based on the card type.

oh Amex Gold Credit also get Access to Plaza Premium Lounge.
but got terms like ambank, only can access if charge above RM2,000 for air tickets or travel packages booked through AMEX Gold Travel Service partners ~

I agree. It is not practical because do you really trust the AMEX merchant information provided from all the forummer in here ?
It can be a disastrous list to maintain and update.

I'm sure MBB will do whatever it takes to increase the number of AMEX accepting merchants here in Malaysia.

Agree... when there's MORE AMEX cards issued/used in the market, the number of AMEX merchants will increase as well.

I applied both OCBC Titanium MC and MBB2 Platinum last week.... OCBC approved, but the MBB still no record in system... so slow..

Instead of listing all merchants accepting Amex, you should tell us which merchants you think supposedly accept Amex but decline your card. Al-Ikhsan in big shopping complexes in the Klang Valley selling branded sports products is one of them.


It is Amex Gold charge card, not Amex Gold credit card.

We were talking about complimentary FREE access to airport lounges with no strings attached. If you refer to complimentary entries with conditions (like air tickets must be booked via the respective cards with specific amount), there are many more offering this such as OCBC Titanium.

My OCBC Titanium MC was rejected twice even after appeal. Not sure the reason as meet the income requirement. Never default car & credit card loans. Sad of me.

You may need to get your credit report at BNM and see the status of your credit exposure. Banks normally assess your repayment ability based on some criteria.
