What is the safe temp for Sandy Bridge ?
My 2700k temperature is touching 90'C when running IBT while Prime95 85'C. Using Corsair H60 |

Some just don't need to do so. |

hi Pro Overclockerz and Sifuz ! ....
nid to ask a question regarding the CMV6GT and 2600K Performance ... ive did prime test about 1 hour with V6GT running at 3.8GHZ ! .... d temp after 1 hour is 62C in full load / idle was 38C ..... is diz ok ??? ..... or too hot ?? im using arctic mx-4 ... and V6GT has been replaced with arctic f12 PWM x 2 !! push / Pull COnfig ! .... can tell me izz da temp ok ?? or i nid to do sumthin ?? thx ! ... help very much appreciated !! ... |

I'm using push-pull, a 2400rpm high speed ball bearing as push fan. Should I reapply TIM ? Well, re-applying TIM should help reduce the heat a bit guess.. Or u might try to use other cooler if u can get one and compare it.. The CM hyper 212+ is a cheaper cpu cooler but have a good reviews on the net.. just to make sure if u have extra ringgit. Can get it below 100 i guess.. This post has been edited by Mavrix: Mar 21 2012, 10:35 AM |

I guess need to wait for master owikh84 to answer ur concerns here..
But a lot of Ocer master here say, the best WC setup is the custom one, Not to say ur H60 is not good but the best result is from the custom setup with the best component out there.. but its very costly and risky.. thats the reason i always choose a conventional cooler with a fan + heatsink.. a little bulky but simple to me.. That's bcoz im not a true Ocer, just so so only.. hehe But what cooler does he use?? same as u? QUOTE(tanghm @ Mar 21 2012, 10:39 AM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

Found it, he is using H70
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=47406541 Custom H20 is the best I know, but for peace of mind and simplicity I went for closed loop sealed H60. |

That's around 10-20C difference between SP1 & non-SP1. Prime95 usually produces less heat/ lower temps than LinX. |

My overclock not stable !! Have to increase VCCIO based on the suggestion here http://www.overclock.net/t/1120291/solving...e-read-op-first
I'm priming FFT 1344 now, was getting random 124 BSODs after like 15mins. Now so far so good, almost 1hour already still stable with 1.08125V VCCIO. Question: Is 1.08125 VCCIO safe for everyday use ? |
