QUOTE(runsing @ Mar 4 2012, 10:54 PM) hi, i was wondering, can intel desktop board be used for overclocking? for example, Intel® Desktop Board DP67BA. its a p67 based, so does the bios allow for overclocking? let's say, paired with a "K" processor. First of all, why do u choose Intel board? QUOTE 3.11 BIOS Performance Features The BIOS includes the following options to provide custom performance enhancements when using Intel Core i7, Intel Core i5, and Intel Core i3 processors in an LGA1155 socket. • Processor Maximum Non-Turbo Ratio (processor multiplier can only be adjusted down) • Memory multiplier adjustment • Memory voltage adjustment • Graphics multiplier adjustment Multiplier can only be adjusted down? - downclocking not overclocking tech specsconclusion, get a better board out there lots of mobo meant for overclocking This post has been edited by owikh84: Mar 4 2012, 11:52 PM

no reason, just wondering. since intel DID release "K" version meant for overclocking, yet i haven't seen anyone discussing of intel's desktop board (for overclocking purposes) and yet they (intel) even have their own x79 lineup

hi all, now im on i5 2500k 4.4 G OC, z68ap-d3 mobo, cooling not a problem since i use hyper 212 evo with 2 Arctic Cooling F12 fans, side panel use the hyper 212's fan, back using blade master 12, thinking of stepping up to 5.0G (only when called for), so how do i do this? i'm fine with low clock rates when normal use like surfing, but want to be smooth when doing some heavy load stuff

It is fine that my i7-2600K@4.5Ghz,1.34Volt with temp around 70c low-88c high on 100% load while running prime using corsair H50? I just abit worries about the temp
