lol, just buy a cyberclean and clean ur radiator, other place wont get dust so serious other than rad.

actually positive air flow with proper filter placed on key location is less dust compare to negative air flow.

when i oc my proc(100 x 45) and ram 1600 7-8-7-24 >1866 7-9-7-24,
i run linx,come out error..
after that i test individual,proc oc ,ram default,run linx ok..
ram oc,proc default,run linx ok..

wat wrong v tis?

ram not stable ,
try loose the sub timing if u wan high ram clock speed.

I've got my P8Z68-V PRO tonight .. now, need to read and read and read .. first time trying to do OC .. total noob .. BTW, what is the idle temp. for i7/2600K? Looking at the BIOS page, mine is quite high, hovering at 60-65 degrees C .. ambient temp. is at aroun 29 degrees C. But this is on stock cooler, haven't put in the CM V6GT yet and haven't put into the case too.

idle temp for 2600K @ 3.4GHz on stock cooler should be about 40C only.
60-70C on load.

DDR3 2284MHz running without sweat..



No usb to ps/2 converter, cant run super 32M

Just a noob want to ask sifus here:

1) is 4.7gh at 1.36 with 47-50 idle temp good enough or hve to lower down?

2) Will ocing the ram helps in stabilizing the cpu oc?

3) Will there be an increase in performance if oc the ram?

Simply tried 5GHz with 1.45v just now, not dare to run stress test, after 10minutes of google and winamp, my pc hang lol .

Finally, got down and putting everything in the case and installed Win7. The idle temp. as shown in AI Suite II is around 30 degrees idle (1648 MHz) and I ran SuperPI just to check and it goes as high as 50 degrees full load (4470MHz). Ah, this is with CM V6GT cooler.

Nice RAM! should go for other tests as well instead of Memtest

1) Looks normal at that range. But load temp is more important.
2) RAM OC has nothing to do with CPU OC stability.
3) For routine tasks u wont notice any significant difference ie between 1866 and 2133. Faster clock is meant for benchmark purpose only.

Need more juice for sure. OC is useless without stability.

Good job. I always use Realtemp to monitor core temps.

4.8GHz is my limit, prime95 is around 95c, if 5GHz and stress sure over 100c, i need a better environment temp or wc , trying to curi ayam set to certain vcore and do some daily usage to judge it, keep pumping vcore until without hang or bsod.

best ram i have seen so far is still with act lol
his ram does 2133 C7 at 1.55v
technically he should be able to do 2175mhz at 1.625v

Audio has nothing to do with OC unless if it's PCIE based sc.
Should be something else.
Make sure that u install all the drivers come with cd as necessary or try reinstall a fresh windows.

LinX or Prime95 will do.

H67 ?? H67 can OC but not as far as p67 can go ! why you bought 2500k with a h67 board ? To OC , it is pretty easy on Sandy Bridge . Make sure of google and you will get plenty of the results. Study them first and if you dont understand you can come back to ask . In this way , we can provide fast assistance to you if you learn the basic.

is my spec already enough to do overclocking? and how should i start the overclocking using the asrok extreme tuner? should i just increase the cpu ratio?a
