Giga will still produce P67 till end of this year before completely replaced by Z68. I believe other manufacturers will follow the trends too. Z68 is set to be released officially on May 11th but now u can get Z68 UD7 at C-Zone already for the same price.

Someone in garage sales have the other Z68X series too, UD3P, price is RM600++.. probably will need to wait a while for the rest to come mid May. Will eagerly waiting for them.

I've got my P8Z68-V PRO tonight .. now, need to read and read and read .. first time trying to do OC .. total noob .. BTW, what is the idle temp. for i7/2600K? Looking at the BIOS page, mine is quite high, hovering at 60-65 degrees C .. ambient temp. is at aroun 29 degrees C. But this is on stock cooler, haven't put in the CM V6GT yet and haven't put into the case too.

idle temp for 2600K @ 3.4GHz on stock cooler should be about 40C only.
60-70C on load.

Finally, got down and putting everything in the case and installed Win7. The idle temp. as shown in AI Suite II is around 30 degrees idle (1648 MHz) and I ran SuperPI just to check and it goes as high as 50 degrees full load (4470MHz). Ah, this is with CM V6GT cooler.

Just wondering, I'm running win7 pro 64bit and everytime I tried to run prime95 64bit, I'm getting BSOD. Is it my system or is it the prime95 problem?

Thanks, I'm restarting again now. Going through the reset to default and will try the AISuiteII to overclock it again. I guess the manual OC that I put wasn't correct, hence, on normal usage it was okay but under a bit of load, it just failed.

Ouch, no wonder I saw you guys's temp much lower than mine.. Somehow, I put the fan in the wrong airflow direction on my V6 GT smile.gif It supposed to suck air from the front and vent it out at the back.. Now both fans suck in the air.. Grrr..tried looking for the correct direction from the manual but couldn't find it and I stupily didn't mark them during disassembly.
