i did a little search at wikipedia and the fish from the photo i posted is green/grey corydoras like Namgor2006 said and it is scavenger-type one.
i put this new guy sekor only (wikipedia image) into the tank and it eat all the algae ! wow. kinda excited because my leaves very licin no algae now in just 6 hr. Pleco short term for Plecostomus ? How come it cost for rm 150 for baby pleco while i buy ~2 inch pleco @ rm3.50 only ? diff pleco ? This post has been edited by khalemi: Jun 12 2011, 09:42 PM |

Pleco has quite many types also, some selling in high price cause it is not local breed such high fin leopard pleco (if i'm not mistaken for the name). Mostly pleco & corydoras are family, which they're belong to Catfish category.
Pleco does eat algae, but less effective than SAE or Otto cause they're actually omnivorous. Search Omnivorous in google, u'll know what it's mean Here are some update for my tank: ![]() ![]() ![]() http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.2...&type=1&theater This post has been edited by Namgor2006: Jun 13 2011, 12:22 AM |

95% of the plant need co2 to grow well and fresh... Java fern , Narrow Leaf Fern, Bolbitis, Moss ( all kind of moss ) , Anubis ( nana petite , or big Anubis ), stem plant, (those cheap one RM2 Cabomba ), hmm cant think much atm... this all is plant that can survive without co2, and it will grows but super slow haha... |

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Thanks for ur compliment. Yea, those r java moss that i put them below the drift wood. My first attempt to tie on the driftwood & rock failed, then i started to think that if i can put them under the drictwood or rocks (this idea was exactly from one of the LYN forumer as well) For these moment, my Java moss & Java Fern can survive but can't grow beautiful because of my water temperature is 29 to 30 degree. It's damn hot for the plants, but it's make the Discus healthy (contra) Perhaps, i need to buy 2 cooling fan few weeks later. Added on June 14, 2011, 1:35 am » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « i heard some of my friends say, if ur water temperature is high (more than 27 degree) glossotigma will grow totally different from what u seen from books or magazine. How high is ur water temperature? This post has been edited by Namgor2006: Jun 14 2011, 01:35 AM |

CO2 i think is fine, turn on continuously |
