normally lights on 8 hours per day is suffiecient? how about if going outstation for few days? is that possible to light on 24 hours?

if u're outstation for more than 1 week, i suggest u to get a timer from a hardware shop.

what is the good brand of timer? cost how much normally?

for planted tank how long need a water change? need put bacneficial bacteria?

For best result, change 50% water once everyweek... u can put beneficial bacteria booster once every 2 weeks (if ur tank is mature) icon_idea.gif

Travies,
Depends on your fertilizer dosing..
generally 1 week once.. for BB i dont dose anything as long as you dont kill your filter...

(fert dose i mean is, EI/PMMD... im using those... over dose fert. high light . high co2 to fasten the grow process and change 50% water every 3 days )

after tank dry a lot of white stain..

i would suggest more.... its enough, but it wont get bushy and healthy.... why not get a 72 watts PLL???

about moss, cool water temp is the most important factor... in fact apply to any plants...

ppl light i still searching. its kind of hard to find in kuching, sarawak here. gosh, my tank temp is consistently on 30c and below. only can cool it of using fan?

then you need a chiller to cool it down to 25~26 degree. biggrin.gif
