Speaking of needing the PIN number for the registration of online banking access. It's been more than 2 months since i received my first credit card from Citibank but there is still no sign of my PIN number. I requested a new PIN number to be sent to me twice already (because i assumed the first and second got lost in the mail) but it is still the same. I made the last request 2 weeks ago at their main branch in Jalan Ampang but still, i have not received the PIN number until today. It's driving me mad !!!  vmad.gif

does they sent the pin num via letter or ask us to collect on the branch? like today.. i just receive sms from bank to collect the card. I still didn't receive letter yet about it.

You mean the PIN for online shopping? If it is, buzz them 24 hours per week until you get it.

If it is for cash advance, forget about it because you don't need the cash advance, i'd assume  tongue.gif

LOL.. your pin number is lost in space  brows.gif

What PIN for online shopping are you talking about? I've been a Citibank Visa cc user for a long time now and have bought stuff online numerous times but I don't recall ever using a pin number.

For Citibank, they will mail it to your correspondence address even if the request is made over the counter at their branch. My last request was done at their main branch but it's been 2 weeks now and i still haven't received the damn PIN vmad.gif

Citibank and OCBC did not call me either. Citibank approved my application (much to my surprised !!!) whilst OCBC rejected me.

PIN is a must in order to register for Citibank online.

She misunderstood it. She thought it's PIN for something else.

I registered Verified For Visa for my GSC EONBank cc. When using the eticketing system, you'd be prompted to enter the VFV password.

For my latest online ticket purchase however, I was surprised to find out that they no longer use the VFV system; instead a new code will be sent to the registered phone number via some sort of SMS. The message didn't go into the inbox (at least in my case), it just popped out on the screen with no sounds. If you're not looking at the phone screen you won't know that it's there. I don't know what it's called. hmm.gif

Hope this explains: http://www.eonbank.com.my/personal_banking...p/otp_faq.shtml

What is USSD?
USSD is Unstructured Supplementary Services Data. Unlike SMS (Short Message Service), USSD has no store-and-forward capability, which is typical of other short-message protocols like SMS. It is a flash message sent by network service provider which will flash on your mobile phone. Once you click any button on your mobile phone, the message will disappear.

I never use my Debit Card since the day i open my saving account with EON bank. The purpose i open a saving account is because i always pay my CC via internet banking.

In the first place when i open my account with them, i did asked them for a normal ATM card, till now they still don't have it. They say no stock for few months  wub.gif

then u should never apply for the card. use online banking or OTC tongue.gif

QUOTE(zenquix @ Dec 15 2010, 08:55 PM)
you do not need a PIN to use the card. Only for cash advance. Normal purchases and retail is signature based.

this is bcoz u already have saving/current acc with the bank so ur credit card will linked to it. example is hsbc, if u got cc only and no saving/current acc with the bank, then u need the pin to register for online banking.

I have a normal savings account with CIMB, would like to ask to view DA CC statement online, is it we just link the DA CC card under CIMB clicks to the bank card right?
