for those who are not aware, please note that Alliance Bank has discontinued their travel insurance benefit for air ticket purchase. Got confirmation from CS today.
Perhaps add a list of cards providing complimentary travel insurance in first post This post has been edited by zenquix: Jan 12 2011, 10:57 PM |

Well it is indeed a surprise that Alliance and UOB are terminating this benefit. More cards to follow? For me will be buying air tickets with my EON Visa Signature which gives Medical Insurance Overseas on top of Travel Insurance.Perhaps add a list of cards providing complimentary travel insurance in first post This post has been edited by Gen-X: Jan 12 2011, 11:53 PM |

QUOTE(MGM @ Jan 12 2011, 02:56 PM) After going thru my 2011-01-11 ocbc ti statement, the rebate calculated is based on statement month. Hmm... so we can get max RM120 then. Stupid OCBC CS !!!Rebate cap of RM100+RM20 applies for transaction btw 12-12-10 to 11-1-11 At least it's better than OCBC capping it at RM50 between 12-12-10 to 11-01-11 |

Cutting your card in half and surrendering it to HLB is good enough that you have cancelled the account. In your letter to HLB clearly state this fact and the branch where you did the above action. Better if you can remember the officer's name. Word the letter in a firm manner pointing out to HLB that they are in the wrong and you not willing to to pay for their mistake. I did. I mentioned that all the cancellation process was done in the HLB branch office. Yet, they replied that there is no record of my cancellation request received at their end. I'm now waiting for their reply if they can waive the GST. If it can't be done, then probably will follow your advice. This time a letter in a FIRM manner telling them it's not my fault & i'm not willing to pay. Will make a trip to the branch also & see if i can still identify the officer who cut my card. Also waiting for reply from BNM. Let's see what will happen next. |
