On HLB,I don't go Cash on Call. I go for balance transfer. From there, I can transfer RM2k out with 6 month period time and 0.5% oer month and transfer that RM 2k into my personal account  tongue.gif , please don't look at Cash on Call tongue.gif , look at Balance Transfer at Credit Card section in HLB tongue.gif

Oops, I wanted to talk about HLB BALANCE TRANSFER but mistakenly typed CALL FOR CASH. Sorry.

Existing cardmembers just need to call CS to request for card upgrade or additional cards. Income documents may be needed. Just take the advice of CS.

Took a glance at CIMB Visa Signature in the website, the only feature that captured my eyes is COMPLIMENTARY gsc ticket regardless of class of ticket ie.Gold, Premiere, Normal.

Other features like 2X reward points and "Enjoy complimentary access to Plaza Premium Lounge 2 times a year" totally cannot beat SCB BUSINESS VISA PLATINUM.

Good ideas. But Gen-X's idea better.
School start already. Yes , I do have HLB CC. Omg,you just remind me their Call on Cash stuff. Thank you so much bro. With 0.5 interest, not only save the withdraw fee and also the daily interest fee. I forgot I hold the card and I got such benefit. Hehe..

Thank you so much for reply.

I remember you have like 5 cards approved recently that's why asked you to look into either HLB or EON.

As mentioned by chemistry, HLB "BT" is calculated on daily basis, so earlier you pay back you save on interest. However do take note that you will be imposed a penalty if settle in full before the program period. You can go for 3 months where interest 0.4%. If you go for 6 months and your dad pays you back RM600 for the next few months, then by the 4th-5th months you can settle it full but you should not, instead leave a balance of like RM100 for the 5th month and maintain RM10 in the 6th month. Nearing the 6th month check when is the exact day the plan expire (it does not expire on same day as Statement Date) and then pay on that day or the next.

Got another new Visa Signature card, it's from CIMB Bank. smile.gif

CIMB Visa Signature benefit free tickets at GSC and free annual fees for life. Other than that go for CIMB Visa Infinte got same benefit and more (golf and dinning), If you ask me CIMB/ Direct Acccess World Master Card better benefits.

Comparing to EON Visa Signature, EON better as you get 1.5X points local spending, 2X overseas plus 1% cash back for overseas spending and you get Priority Pass.

On yes, CIMB/DA Eraman 15% discount extended for VI and WMC thumbup.gif

How long did it take MBB/AMEX to approve your BT application and make payment to AMBank?

I know for a fact that CIMB / Direct Access Balance Transfer program vert efficient, within 7 working days approve and payment will be made 2-3 days after approval. Since I have no idea how long MBB takes to approve BT application, not willing to take the risk and do 12 months BT even they are offering 0%.
If not mistaken, within 7 working days. I sent application to their previous e-mail account that not in use, thus delayed the processing by resending the application again.

Got 7 card now sweat.gif , I must terminate someee, ROARR !
Yeah,I do note the early settlement penalty,I won't really go it since charge RM 100 shakehead.gif , according to him is like this but I don't know my dad word are trustworthy or not doh.gif , you know leh .. son and dad relationship .. of course dad will take his son advantage and son cannot really voice up so much. True,by 4th or 5th can settle it by full, better keep some balance inside. Haha ..

Abit updates, just called up HLB and ask them to do the balance transfer from my HLB CC to my HLB personal saving acc, been approved. So easy approve one laugh.gif , its will take at least 3 workings day to get into my saving account , last time only need 1 day. Now need 3 days. sweat.gif

hello guys

do you all keep you cc statement?> file up?
how many years you keep?

I always sign up for paperless statements for my cc and bank accounts. Everything is retrievable online. If I need very old statements, can approach the banks to help, but so far never had the need to do so.

More people should do this. Save resources.

7 working days reasonable for approval.

To all:
Anyway, I just posted a new write up on what's new for 2011 at my blog at http://creditcardsmalaysia.blogspot.com/

nothing much that have not been mentioned in this thread but did come across Alliance Flexi Payment Plan where they offering 0% installement for 6 and 12 months plan which have been extened to Feb 2011. Very good deal if you got Alliance as get cash back plus points and 0% installements for retail transactions.

I have estatement for all my cards.
Keeping the PDF won't take much of ur space...

Can scan it too.

By saving into computer, that lessen the trouble to think how many months or years of statement to keep.
