I can't find the list of OCBC 5% discount list in this new V13.

Today i got my statement, just wanted to inform everyone that JUSCO Supermarket at 1U do not entitled for 5%, instead i got 1% from it.

SESB (for who is from sabah), the 5% is there smile.gif

The one in KLCC does, if my memory serves me correctly.

The one at Masjid Jamek accept cards.
I remember eating there once with CIMB cc (which gives 10% discount + 10% rebate) during weekends...

for ocbc:
gst = 1st year MUST pay, 2nd year waived if spend rm10k on 1st year.
Regarding this, the calculation is equivalent to rm10k x 0.005%

Let say if one use the titanium card for less than 10k, let say rm5k, will we get rm25 rebate instead?

Becoz not everyone spend that much in a single card if there is other card can be used for other promotion..

I'm afraid it's impossible.
To entitle for the RM50 Usage bonus, Cardmembers must spend RM10k & above.

..and it's not hard to spend RM10k in a single card per year  rolleyes.gif
*
Persistence85~~ I'm not that rich arr.. Hahaha...
My annual spending on bills only accounted for roughly 7k...
Guess I'll need to find other place to spend on...

Anyway, thanks a lot for the answers!!

I assume all of your 7k spending is for dining/groceries/utilities/petrol.
RM7,000 * 5% = RM350
Would you be generous to pay just RM50 for GST?
*
Actually it's alright to pay rm50
Just that since I'm so near to the 10k point,
I might as well move other spending to the ocbc now after knowing that I cannot get the rebate partially... notworthy.gif

the simplest way is to bring 3 months latest payslip, go to their branch and fill up the form.

Thats it... my CIMB limit increase and card upgrade sent on last thursday, monday approved, and got my card yesterday ~

it's pretty fast i should say ~

fax to them.

before i send to them, actually i call their call center and ask what they needed and strangely, they asked me whether i work in what kind of company. i said it is a IT company and they ask me if the company consider multinational company then i said yes it is. then she just told me to fax them my IC, the application form and my 2 months payslip. no need bank statement. i wonder why.. hmm.gif any ideas??
*
There is a dfference of document needed.
Some staff from Citibank asked me the same question too.

If I'm not mistaken, a berhad company only need 2 months payslip while a Sdn bhd company need at least 3 months.

And it is different for comm earner. Something like that~~

So far I only use it when I visit sushi king for the 10% rebate and San Francisco coffee... As well as GSC ticket purchase over the fast lane since I'm cutting my EON GSC card~

Do u patronize SushiKing & San Fran Coffee purposely because you have discount privilege? Or are u their existing frequent customer before getting UOB card?

Anyway, if the card gives you the most reward based on your spending behaviour, then the card is a good card to you.
*
For San Fran coffee, yes..
Changed after knowing their coffee is not as sweet as starbucks!!
Which is 10% smartcash rebate including the 6% gov tax~

I visit sushi king quite often. with my sushi king member card, and uob's rebate, I can get near to 20% discount (10% on the spot and 10% for Uob smartcash) provided I spend more then rm50 there ~~

And other will goes to my ocbc titanium.

Uob one card series isn't really the best around, just that I happen to visit the supported merchant frequently. ( in my case: sushi king and GSC )

Lol... It's kinda out of topic ya~~
anyway, their kimono bendo if the name is correct not bad... Usually had that during my visit. And their specialty grill salmon head XD... For San Fran, I usually take the chocolate blended smile.gif.. to fix my choco addiction from starbuck's choco chip ice blend~~ and they have the visa wave service too!! With Cimb's weekend rebate for Starbucks gone for now, that's my only choice for a nice cup of icy blend rclxms.gif

For those who hold citibank's clear card, coffee bean have buy 1 free 1 promo..
Am eager to know if my clear card approve or not this week~

I know there are a lot other jap restaurant with better dishes, but staying in PJ only leave me hanging around jaya33 sushi king often...

FYI...when you apply UOB at 1U, you can win a Canon Digital Camera.
They are absorbing the RM50 GST for the very first time.
*
I remember it's something like a lucky draw thingy.
You apply the card, and draw a small piece of paper from a box which have the prize written.

I wonder if is only given when the card approved..

Correct me if I'm wrong~

Guys, I have a few cards now, 2011 trying to cut 2 of them off.. to prevent gst...

here r 2 of these 3 will have to go...

UOB
CITIBANK
CIMB

any advice?
*
I would suggest to keep the card which have highest limit.
At least it's easier to apply other card in the future...
Since you only want to keep 1...

By the way, you reminds me about someone who got removed from the forum lately... Haha..

Lol... TeraPox, please do accept my deepest apology blush.gif
Staying in the office till 6am ++ makes me wrote things here without really going to my mind~ my bad my bad ~

Anyway, something to share around, I've just upgraded my cimb petronas classic to gold recently,
everything seems to be in order until i receive my gold card statement (i already receive a statement which bares the classic card number the week before)...
It states that i have finance charges and my interest is 16% rather then 13.5% which means i have 1 payment i did not made on time.

called the hotline and found out thats a computer fault. after 2 calls with their agent, the problem was rectified. it's a no no if you happen to apply any card during that period which might resulted with a quick reject ~

my hsbc statement never shows the interest rate. i thought bcoz i'm always paying in full amount.
but my mbb statement shows the interest rate even i'm paying in full amount.

but then my sis-in-law also using hsbc and not paying full, same like me, there is no interest rate shows in the statement, even she got interest charges on outstanding sweat.gif
*
oh yea, thats true... i do have some bank which doesn't shows the interest rate that we are entitled to on that point of time...
never the less, if there is any finance charges charged on the statement which are not supposed to be there, even it's rm0.15 for my case, better ring the bank up for clarification... flex.gif having a "no payment" record spoils CCRIS~

i know my parents don't look at their statement breakdown at all, they only look at the outstanding, giving me the money and i do the GIRO for them ~

*
Meaning that you put a fix deposit with the bank and in return they provide u a credit card with the CL same as ur fix deposit amount.

Like say rm5000 fix deposit, then u get the card with 5k limit.

6 months only?

i have been keeping my statement from 1999

its it safe to dispose the old statements? later bank say never pay back in  yr 2000

???????????????????
*
I have estatement for all my cards.
Keeping the PDF won't take much of ur space...

Can scan it too.

By saving into computer, that lessen the trouble to think how many months or years of statement to keep.
