No charge but they'll withhold RM 150/200.
It's RM200 deposit since mid-2008.

Thanks for reminding. I cannot remember the exact figure since I didn't experience such withholding before.

About your question whether should help them or not, it's based on your family relationship & your own thinking. Nobody can answer that.
BUT, if you ask how to help them, then this is my opinion to you:
1) Cash advance from ATM.
2) After the transaction appear on the statement, then do a Balance Transfer to another card to save interest on it.
(You may look for any bank that offer 0% BT to save more)
Hopes, this will answer your question... whistling.gif

Good ideas. But Gen-X's idea better.

School not yet start? Do you have HLB CC, if yes ask call them and ask them to transfer RM2K into your savings account for 6 months program where interest is only 0.5% per month. EON bank also have this thing call Cash On Call where interest 4.99% ofr 6 months. Save you hell a lot more than taking cash from ATM.

School start already. Yes , I do have HLB CC. Omg,you just remind me their Call on Cash stuff. Thank you so much bro. With 0.5 interest, not only save the withdraw fee and also the daily interest fee. I forgot I hold the card and I got such benefit. Hehe..

Thank you so much for reply.

I remember u have SCB platinum.
Few weeks ago scb offered me cheque on call, interest 0.42% per month.
You may BT this to another cc that offers 0% BT to avoid interest charge.

HLB call for cash is indeed an excellent product which has been receiving great response. OK OK, silence.:-P
FYI,interest charge of HLB call for cash is calculated on daily basis.

So, the best is Call for Cash at HLB (save cash advance fee) & then apply for BT to another card that offer 0% (save on interest), Yeah... rclxms.gif thumbup.gif rclxm9.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

True , indeed good marketing plan by HLB ppl.
At least I save the cash advance fee. Even daily interest won't be that high, still able to manage and paid by my dad tongue.gif . My dad afford to pay me back every month at RM 600. At first I was planning to go to RHB-Easy to get instant RM2k money but now no need. Lucky my HLB is zero outstanding balance and full of credit. I happy that I can help my dad so I have to ask him to give me 3 days. Later around 10am go call up the card centre and ask them do the job.

On HLB,I don't go Cash on Call. I go for balance transfer. From there, I can transfer RM2k out with 6 month period time and 0.5% oer month and transfer that RM 2k into my personal account tongue.gif , please don't look at Cash on Call tongue.gif , look at Balance Transfer at Credit Card section in HLB tongue.gif
