QUOTE(chemistry @ Dec 22 2010, 11:51 AM) Well. Through these years I never encounter a fuel pump that can accept smiles card first. Whenever I put in Smiles card first, the system goes wrong and asks me to see cashier. For you info,I just apply Smiles card, after I got the card,I pump Smile Cards first then I only I put my credit card,so far no issue until now By the way, do you always get to pump fuel successfully by putting Smiles Card earlier than cc? |

If you forgot to put the point card , you can always go to counter and ask them to put the point back based on the receipt ...

QUOTE(chemistry @ Jan 7 2011, 01:39 PM) I didn't use CIMB or HLB anymore now. I feel like wasted. I know CIMB is free for life without condition but HLB I need to swipe 12 times a year to get the annual fee waive and I didn't fullfill the condition |

Guys,
I wanna ask. I might put myself into a deep trouble when I asking this question. My family urgently need RM2k cash to pay my brother & sister schooling fee plus the others thing. I was think how the heck I gonna get RM2k cash for them except the cash advance from my credit card. I aware of daily interest and also the withdraw fee at ATM. My dad told me he can pay me RM 600 every month and he said he willing to pay the daily interest fee and withdraw fee. In my mind was thinking, shall I go withdraw and help them ? |

QUOTE(rickkywong @ Jan 10 2011, 09:53 PM) About your question whether should help them or not, it's based on your family relationship & your own thinking. Nobody can answer that. Good ideas. But Gen-X's idea better.BUT, if you ask how to help them, then this is my opinion to you: 1) Cash advance from ATM. 2) After the transaction appear on the statement, then do a Balance Transfer to another card to save interest on it. (You may look for any bank that offer 0% BT to save more) Hopes, this will answer your question... QUOTE(Gen-X @ Jan 10 2011, 10:00 PM) School not yet start? Do you have HLB CC, if yes ask call them and ask them to transfer RM2K into your savings account for 6 months program where interest is only 0.5% per month. EON bank also have this thing call Cash On Call where interest 4.99% ofr 6 months. Save you hell a lot more than taking cash from ATM. School start already. Yes , I do have HLB CC. Omg,you just remind me their Call on Cash stuff. Thank you so much bro. With 0.5 interest, not only save the withdraw fee and also the daily interest fee. I forgot I hold the card and I got such benefit. Hehe..Thank you so much for reply. |

QUOTE(chemistry @ Jan 10 2011, 10:20 PM) I remember u have SCB platinum. I think I do HLB Call for Cash will be better. It's still better than I withdraw money and get daily interest Few weeks ago scb offered me cheque on call, interest 0.42% per month. You may BT this to another cc that offers 0% BT to avoid interest charge. |

QUOTE(chemistry @ Jan 10 2011, 11:51 PM) HLB call for cash is indeed an excellent product which has been receiving great response. OK OK, silence.:-P True , indeed good marketing plan by HLB ppl. FYI,interest charge of HLB call for cash is calculated on daily basis. At least I save the cash advance fee. Even daily interest won't be that high, still able to manage and paid by my dad QUOTE(rickkywong @ Jan 11 2011, 12:03 AM) So, the best is Call for Cash at HLB (save cash advance fee) & then apply for BT to another card that offer 0% (save on interest), Yeah... Bro .... I no need to BT anymore. Very hard to have so many commitment you know |

On HLB,I don't go Cash on Call. I go for balance transfer. From there, I can transfer RM2k out with 6 month period time and 0.5% oer month and transfer that RM 2k into my personal account

QUOTE(chemistry @ Jan 11 2011, 12:54 AM) No problem chemistry, your 1 word alr knock my head and gave me the knowledge QUOTE(Gen-X @ Jan 11 2011, 06:56 AM) I remember you have like 5 cards approved recently that's why asked you to look into either HLB or EON. Got 7 card now As mentioned by chemistry, HLB "BT" is calculated on daily basis, so earlier you pay back you save on interest. However do take note that you will be imposed a penalty if settle in full before the program period. You can go for 3 months where interest 0.4%. If you go for 6 months and your dad pays you back RM600 for the next few months, then by the 4th-5th months you can settle it full but you should not, instead leave a balance of like RM100 for the 5th month and maintain RM10 in the 6th month. Nearing the 6th month check when is the exact day the plan expire (it does not expire on same day as Statement Date) and then pay on that day or the next. Yeah,I do note the early settlement penalty,I won't really go it since charge RM 100 Abit updates, just called up HLB and ask them to do the balance transfer from my HLB CC to my HLB personal saving acc, been approved. So easy approve one This post has been edited by WhiteWing: Jan 11 2011, 09:37 AM |

QUOTE(chemistry @ Jan 11 2011, 02:04 PM) You are not paying extra but just transfer your debt in HLB to another bank to save interest. After doing BT frm HLB to another bank (must offer 0% BT), you don't owe HLB anymore but owe the new bank. Others card cannot touch Unless all your cards' CL cannot contain the new BT. CIMB offer 0% BT for 6 months and 1% BT for 12 months. Seem CIMB is my choice to transfer out the money
