Already grab this phone.. my 1st impression is this phone is AWWWSOMEE for its price..

this is the best phone that i hav so far, much2 better than my previous iphone 3g..
-Camera and video recorder better,
-play video better than iphone,
-speaker also more louder,
-and my interface also better,
-don need itunes to transfer file
-sd slot can support up to 32gb

Upgrade to 2.1 but still not rooted but so far i can install all the apps and game i download without any prob..

so far can play angry bird, raging thunder and fruit slice well just like on iphone.. need for speed i still don know where to get it..

easy to type sms just like on iphone..
support multitouch..

Also hav digital compass like on 3gs

only the phone housing quality is poor, kinda feel cheap..

but overall it is good for newbie who want to try android..
Really like android the most now..

this phone got many other name for other country, some don hav trackball but still have same spec and function..

saw the promo for this phone in star paper for rm699..

It's a preview ROM bro. They haven't iron out all the bugs yet.

and i haven't own this phone yet.

But that's why you do a Nandroid backup (i'll copy every single freaking thing of your phone)
before you do anything.

Still don try to play the heavy 3d game like nfs(don know where to get it), but so far can play good addicted game like angry bird and doodle jump.. so it still worth to its price..

But thou must root to enjoy Froyo on this phone.

My friend is using this phone, played with it for quite a while (cyanogenmod 2.2) and I find it really good for its price tag.

For such a cheap price you can get such a good android phone. With it being HVGA, 3D games will work really nicely and almost all apps can be used. Heck, my HTC Legend is the same processor and screen resolution, and it used to cost RM1999 when I bought it.

The main reason why so many roms are out for this apparently unknown phone is that this CSL one is just a version of one phone. The ROM made for one of them can be compatible with another, which basically aggregates the amount of ROMs available for this fella.

Just look, a version of gingerbread for this fella already.

is anywhere i could sent this phone rooting? i dunno any shops which cater the droid user..me, i don't dare of risking a brick..i can't even backup the nandroid..

Or you can use nokia ovi suite, back it up on the PC.
Then transfer them to the Droid.

PC suite can't do that, what i can though is save the contacts in a folder in your PC.
Then can copy the folder in your Droid.

i'm not very sure about this, don't own a Droid, yet.
But i did managed to back up all my contacts in that way tough.

if not mistaken, if you have your contact in csv format, you can import into gmail..
from gmail, you can sync to your phone.

rooting successful it's just can't install movetosd app..and one more thing the backup rom option for rom manager not working..
