True
But I've tried searching around lyn here, but I can't find any VPN that are hosted in Malaysia sweat.gif

Is it more expensive to host in Malaysia? Wonder why no one do it hmm.gif

If u have spare $$$ and some basic Linux skills,
Go to Services Noticeboard forum and search for VPS providers. Make sure VPS server is located locally and not in TM's Cyberjaya Netmyne DC.
Then setup a secure proxy or VPN on the server and you're good to go.
They range from RM70-100++/mth lol (for Linux VPS)

I really don't understand. When some bad things happened, there must be someone stand at the side of those people who do those bad things. Really don't know whether justice exist in these people's brain or not.

Instead of arguing with each other, if you have capped issue, maybe you can post the capping times and area. we can see if others in the same area are also affected. Maybe TM is doing some more capping testing or something in certain areas.

Sorry I didn't read your previous post regarding this matter. I encountered the same problem with my IMbps connection, my local connection was capped at 512Kbps and it took almost two months to resolve.

A technician visited my premises 4 time and it was only after being given a telephone number/e-mail address to the relevant department that my complaint was then resolved within a few days.

Since as you indicated I am a TM defender, though nothing could be further from the truth, then there is probably no point in passing the above info to you. Good luck with resolving your issue.

1. 2 months to resolve.
2. visit 4 times.
3. localized problem

This here is a nation-wide issue.

What makes you think nobody here tried calling, genius? You do realize the system fail don't you? It's rotten inside and outside. Have you gotten used to the smell?

Thanks for the feedback I wasn't aware that the "illegal movie downloaders" were responsible for driving the increase in speed and capacities. If this is the case maybe TM should update their terms and conditions to clarify their transmission of certain material.

I suppose the "illegal movie downloaders" are also responsible for the reduction in costs of legal DVDs, oh wait...

Maybe you realize most Malaysians are "very wealthy" and "can" afford everything. and Maybe you also realize they "are" humans. I mean one so proper like you, who follows the justice, understands everything including the system and human beings, so proper with everything including typing.. one so admirable like you..... so perfect... SHOULD understand people make their own judgments, decisions and compromise. Such as yourself, the rest of the people and the government. You think you're perfect eh? You cannot even UNDERSTAND people. You may have been born with a silver spoon, but, for the risks involved, people, both poor and rich alike, would prefer to freely download as and how they please... If you wanna do something, help the people earn money so that they can freely purchase. You can start doing that by asking the government how they are spending the peoples money.

Ya'll need to take a chill pill.

Update: Speed still not exceeding 20KB/s to 60KB/s. Package subscribed is 1Mbps. Usual speed: 100KB/s.

Thanks for your feedback. For your information, during this 2 month period, my local speed was capped at 512Kbps, 386Kbps and 256KKbs depending on time and my international line capped at 0.1MBps during peak hours. After re-setting port/calling CS speed would return 1 hour/2 hours.

After nearly 2 months I was given a direct telephone number / e-mail to the advance technical department who helped resolved my problem within a few days.

The problem with the international link cap re-appeared after 1 week after which I was in the same situation as everyone else where the cap was lifted a few days ago. Also coincidentally I was issued a report number for the problem with the "international link cap" only one hour prior to the cap being lifted (despite many e-mails) and had several calls regarding closing this report the next day.

Nevertheless, as you say my problem may have been local and unrelated to this topic.

Whatever the merits, or otherwise, of TMs' system I'm sure a genius such as yourself has an answer for.

Yep, that's right, a spy hired by TM and as a reward TM have supplied me with a 1Mbps line with which it is impossible to watch a video stream. Maybe I should f* TM and their CEO to show I'm one of the sheep.

Here we go again, with the all too familiar tired tactic of labelling all heavies as illegal movie downloaders..

Perhaps you haven't heard of a thing called Steam, and LEGAL game downloads (which weigh many GBs) that you pay for? How about episodes of TV Shows in HD that i can purchase from Itunes? How about Youtube in 720p and 1080p HD? How about multiple GB game updates from games like WoW, which last i heard required almost 10+ GB for the Cataclysm expansion update?

Your ignorance is astounding. Perhaps we should all be using our broadband for e-mail and surfing websites only as you imply.
*
As you correctly point out that not all "heavy users" should be labelled as "illegal movie downloaders" and for that I apologize to you and other "heavy users", my ignorance was in part due to other threads I have read. Once again sorry.
