Canon EOS 550D is a replacement / update for Canon EOS 500D. With that budget, go for 550D with kit 18-55 is the best already.

My sister in-law gave me a question which I could not answer. Best camera for recording video for her psychology subjects around RM 500. Its more like a digital camera able to take photos, but must be great in video.

Type of camera/lens/accesories : Digital Camera
Budget: Rm500+
Your Location: KL
Preferable brand : Any
Type of photography u want to do : Video recording and unlimited video recording time.
Any specific models in mind? : So far the only model that comes to mind is the Casio Exilim EX-Z550
Any specific features u want? : Must be able to record sound.

Link I found to Casio Exilim
http://www.trustedreviews.com/digital-came...ilim-EX-Z550/p2

Personally I prefer to go with Canon/Panasonic, but price is the problem. Any other suggestions and where to find it?

Hi,

I am looking for a digital camera.
I was previously using Canon Ixus 870IS.
Besides giving me flash issues (smoke coming out), i loved it.

Type of camera/lens/accesories : Digital Camera Point and Shoot
Budget: 1k+
Your Location: KL lowyat
Preferable brand : Canon
Type of photography u want to do : I'm not a photography person, but mainly just want to take pictures quickly without having to wait for flash, camera starting, etc. Must be quick to capture kids photos.
Any specific models in mind? : Back to IXUS maybe?
Any specific features u want? : Wide screen at the back, vivid colours like Ixus 870IS.

*help!*

if that is the case I will go for 60d at any point of time.
about the kit lens. for me it doesn't matter since we will eventually sell it tongue.gif
unless you want to stick with your kitty forever.

if that is the case d90 will serve you quite good. but if it is possible go for d7000 instead because d90 has been 2years+ which make it worse compared to the latest d7000.

however budget wise 60d is quite good. it's swivel lcd will be very helpful in movie making. and spec wise 60d is better compared to d90.

yeah..
some dslr sifu say it is not worth it to get new d90 because it is a 2year+ old body.
while 60d is new one.
would love 2 get d7000 but it is over my budget.. sad.gif
thanks for the reply. notworthy.gif
