if it is for walk about lens.it's a very good lens.
it is sharp yet can produce bokeh. good option.
however sometimes got focusing issue especially in low-light condition therefore you got to test on it.

s90 or s95 ?
I'd like to buy one of these cameras, and was just wondering if there was a significant difference between them. I'll probably buy the S90 because since it is an older version, it is cheaper. But I was wondering if there was a significant improvement in the S95 compared to the S90, because in that case I might be willing to pay extra for it. |

Should I choose 550D kit with 18-135 or 550D kit with 18-55 + additional 55-250?
And what is the cheapest price I can find in Lowyat for 550D kit with 18-135? Usually what free things can I get? |

Not 100% sure. And what is the cheapest price I can find in Lowyat for 550D kit with 18-135? Usually what free things can I get? 18-135 is indeed more expensive, then you need to ownself go search. Free things? Cleaning kit, mem card and bag perhaps. Throw in some cheap tripods as well. |

QUOTE(evios @ Jan 9 2011, 01:40 AM) Type of camera/lens/accesories : DSLR Canon EOS 60D or EOS 550D with kit 18-55mm. Low light, get a large aperture lens like 50mm f/1.8 for budget wise. But never consider to replace a flash unit with large aperture lens. Flash is more superb. By the way, high ISO will cause your pictures contain a lot of noise. Budget: < 4.5K Your Location: KL Preferable brand : Canon, Nikon Type of photography u want to do : indoor, low light Any specific models in mind? : D90 Any specific features u want? : High ISO performance. QUOTE(tauriq @ Jan 9 2011, 04:45 AM) What do you mean? By the way the kit and the 50mm is good enough already. What else do you want? QUOTE(bryanyeo @ Jan 9 2011, 12:31 PM) Should I choose 550D kit with 18-135 or 550D kit with 18-55 + additional 55-250? I prefer Canon EOS 550D with kit 18-55mm, costs like RM2800; with additional 55-250mm, costs like RM800-RM900. For 18-135 package is around RM3600 or RM3700. Freebies you get will depends, mostly like card, bag, and small tripod. Remember to bargain for more. And what is the cheapest price I can find in Lowyat for 550D kit with 18-135? Thx for the suggestion..so i guess nowadays these are really the high-end compacts which are one level below DSLR in performance..did some research and those were the only models that pops up.. |

Usually what free things can I get? therefore I suggest you to play with 1855 1st. IMHO IQ 1855 is better than 18135. you may consider it. later you can try better lens compare to 18135. |
