aiyoyoyo, Can try this TP-Link TL-WN7200ND 150Mbps High Power Wireless USB Adapter for about RM65 ~ RM90. Another options is TP-Link TL-WR841ND v7.1 (request the beta firmware from klseet) for about RM90 +/- to replace the D-link 615

hi,

need advice here. unifi now available in my area. so was thinking of switching to unifi either vip5 or maybe vip10.

my main concern is online gaming with ps3. is unifi better if 3 machines are sharing the connection at the same time while playing ps3 online. for some reason, especially football game (winning eleven) for ps3, i need to turn off other machines except for the ps3 in order to get good latency. will unifi give better latency even when the line is shared simultaneously.

no issue for other games though.

and what about the capping thingy.

thanks

Bro i take VIP5 simply for ps3 gaming, just before i get to test it, 1 day later after installation, sudah KO my Unifi, now waiting for their technician to revert back to me as i already made a report. So from my side, i u got to wait to hear from me again on PS3 gaming, but according to my fren who is using VIP5 for ps3 gaming as well, not a single lag in FPS... not sure abt football game thou smile.gif

Of unifi, i havent even really tasted your power, why you let me down so quick sad.gif

jaaroquai, When you have multiple PCs in your home network. It it the best to have a QoS router / PC server to manage the internet traffic to have a smooth & lag free online gaming.

QoS looks like this:

thanks jenniferjen and idragon.

@jenniferjen - do keep me update on the vip5. and your experience

@idragon - so far no problem with other games. just for winning eleven. your thoughts if using unifi? and any link for further reading on the matter you proposed? it looks like assigning traffic in details. so put ps3 to high and others to low something like that? will this affect the other user who are browsing and streaming?

oh.. the no lag does make sense since the upload is the same amount as donwload. what about the latency?

jaaroquai, assign PS3 MAC address as exempt will do the job. This does not affect the other user who are browsing and streaming.
