Oh ok. Then is there any way where the people who call me at my old number get notified of my new number?

Dear lowyat members, i have a question here.... EXCEPT for the IPTV, can UNIFI use any normal router except the one TM give?? their router is so sucky n nt stable~~ + the IPTV i nvr touch it before so im planning to use my own WR1043ND router... is it possible?    

Has anyone ever bothered about this new HYPPTV thing?
I would like to know if anyone subscribed any one of these channels?

I'm using wireless. I decided to call them when my IPTV kept hanging because of connection problem. Today the connection seems better, less packets dropping. Not sure whether they fixed anything, or it's just a random thing. I must say their helpdesk is not that bad, they actually called me back and told me they're looking into this matter.

Mmmhhh, my Unifi was install on 13-Dec, after 1 week the phone is not function, cant call out and not able to call in also. :-/

sometime ON, sometime not, but most of the time is ON. but the phone still can't function even the light in ON :- /

hey guys i live in a double story terrace house and i was wondering if i subscribe to unifi, can my modem+router be placed upstairs?
the pictures i see on the first page of this thread seems like the modem+router are placed downstairs of the house..
i have a telephone line outlet upstairs and downstairs too.
i would prefer it if my modem+router is upstairs instead of downstiars..
so the question is, can the modem+router be placed upstairs instead of downstairs?

Wow, very kind of them to support us. I can't believe they just did that!. Might as well ask them to do the same for the others in the series . The WR**43ND etc.

Still, openwrt for users with the know-how:P. I haven't gotten around to write a guide yet, no unifi (need ~ 4 weeks before I can start writing one, and a unifi user to help me).

Honestly, I say this again. Kudos to TP-LINK for the great support. Other companies would just ignore our pleas.

Their hardware is indeed great. I have two of their routers. TM should start using theirs (wireless-n for el-cheapo prices, how to resist?).

my plan is to terminate and unsubscribe to the upstairs line.
then using the downstairs line number to subscribe to unifi VIP10..

and also, i prefer my modem and router to be placed upstairs where all the computers in my house are, but i also want the IPTV thing to be placed downstairs, where the TV is..

is it possible to have the modem and router to be placed upstairs but the IPTV to be placed downstairs?

A few quick question would like to check with all gurus here:

1) Do I need to maintain my lan-line phone since I have Dect phone?

2) As for internal wiring, does Unifi still be using the old cooper wire at home? Assuming lan-line phone has been terminated since Dect phone is usable.

I'm on the 20Mb package and it's *really* easy to go over the 120G cap. I just downloaded half a GB of anime in 10 minutes. Imagine how much I can download in a day.

So if the Fiber Optic from back of your house, must go through the wall? can i be go through the ceiling from outside? becoz i not prefer having a hole thru the wall...

I remapped the paid channels (Universal HD, Warner, Syfy) to free channels to bypass the preview system. STB decodes it fine regardless of what stream I tell it to work on, lol!

Really? I just spoke with my cousin and she said that she switches everything off of she's away for more than a day... NO prb for her as well... Any clue what might the prb be? It is broadcasting a wireless signal but I just can't connect... I've tried using my laptop, sister's laptop, dad's laptop, and 2 different iphones, AND a samsung galaxy tab! nothing works!! I switched the BTU off once or twice, waited, and I still can't connect~~~ So frustrating...

can this unifi line still able to use fax ?

hi guys.....i'm currently contemplating whether to change from my 1mbps streamyx to VIP5.

The thing is, I've read a few bad stories here and I'm a bit scared if lets say my service gets disrupted for a few day. That'll be bad as I'll be cancelling my streamyx and if anything happens, I'll be dead with my assignments and my parents need the internet to check their important mails too.

So at this current stage, is it worth changing to unifi? I download occasionally to quite frequently so the added speed for download and upload would be great.

Can u guys tell me some of the cons that i will face after changing to unifi? My location is in USJ11, Subang Jaya. Anyone nearby this area wanna give some comments?

question, can my Aztech Router WL830RT4 replace the DIR-615? Got this router for about... 5 months already, works like a charm for me now (using Streamyx 1MBPS, my unifi's coming this Friday, 2 days from now)

Now, I'm not the kind of person who turns on his routers and everything for more than a week, usually only around 48 hours max. (mostly less than 15 hours at a time)

OH, one more thing, the DIR-615 by TM, is it any different than the original DIR-615? I hope TM didn't change its settings or anything...? 'cuz it isn't a too bad of a router according to the sites i saw on Google.
