not really necessary and thats 1 of the purpose of having this thread actually. it'll be better to just post in this thread if anyone is facing any down time or etc along with the package one is on and their location.
the purposed i decided to have the list of unifi users ( like any other users list thread in LYN ) is to see how many people in LYN are on unifi and what package their on. sort of like a simple survey but never/wont intended to go into full details like place or address. privacy also could be another thing like what you mentioned.

going back to users facing downtime issues, usually users will or are welcome to post their status if something aint going right with unifi on their site. this is perhaps the best way i see it by alerting and notifying other unifi users in here when problems like that occurs.

will add you to the list, sapekman. smile.gif
* ps: i still cant find any chinese new year promotion on TM twitter. rclxub.gif

started from 15th, free installation fees will commenced.

Oh? I thought it was only me! I can't ask anyone else in my neighbourhood 'coz nobody else has subscribed! laugh.gif

Well, at least now there's a possibility it's a TM problem not my house problem. biggrin.gif

ie: can I have the TV box thingy outside in my living room and the router in my bedroom?

Since I have a telephone line outlet in my room.. I'm thinking..

Bedroom - BTU(modem) and RG(router)
Living room - Dect phone and Set-top-Box

I just need an extra long LAN cable to connect the STB from the RG in my bedroom rite?

http://twitter.com/tmcorp

there seems to be a problem with twitter or TM twitter itself. tweets that they tweeted seems to be delayed. the date today is 14 january 2011. and the tweet below came out today but it says 3:47 PM Jan 12th via web.
i may have missed the tweet for chinese new year promotion but as for now, no chinese new year promotion mentioned on TM twitter.
will keep an eye out on TM twitter for you guys when i come across any unifi promotion.

ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR UNIFI NOW AVAILABLE
Customers who register online get a FREE 1 month UniFi package subscription fee

Effective 1 January 2011, customers interested in Telekom Malaysia Berhad’s ™ High Speed Broadband (HSBB) service, UniFi, can now check for service availability as well as sign up for the service via online registration at www.tm.com.my or www.unifi.my.  In line with the increasing demand for the service, the online registration option opens yet another channel for the public to quickly apply for the service.

To do so, just visit either of the sites and choose the “click here to subscribe now” button and just follow the simple instructions. The process allows new subscribers to check for service availability based on their address, create personal usernames and profiles, manage their account as well as book an installation appointment.

To encourage subscribers to use its new Online Customer Centre self-service portal, TM is giving all new subscribers who register online a 1 month waiver on the UniFi package subscription fee. This promotion is set to continue until further notice.

UniFi is currently being offered via three residential and three business packages. The residential ‘triple-play’ packages are VIP5 at RM149 a month, VIP10 at RM199 a month and VIP20 at RM249 a month. Each package comes with three (3) services; High Speed Internet, HyppTV and Phone. All UniFi subscribers will get free HyppTV Basic channels. Additional Premium HyppTV and Video-on-Demand offerings are available for a nominal subscription fee. TM will continue to enhance the richness of its HyppTV offering by adding more exciting channels from time to time.

Business packages offered are BIZ5 at RM199 a month, BIZ10 at RM599 a month and BIZ20 at RM899 a month. Each package comes with a ‘dual-play’ offering with a very competitive call plan, High Speed Internet and a host of complimentary services serving the needs of businesses.

Inked in September 2008, the RM11.3 billion national HSBB project is a Public-Private-Partnership agreement between TM and the Government of Malaysia to develop next generation high speed broadband infrastructure and services for the nation. TM is investing up to RM8.9 billion into the project while the Government is contributing RM2.4 billion on an incurred claims basis based on project milestones reached by TM.
