Got my ticket at malaysia to same destination for only rm19 dollars. Singapore buses are damn overpriced during festive season.

I agree
Even she had bought it like 2 months earlier, its so expensive.

Since I'm from Muar, I can take a private chartered car home, which they pick up from door-to-door.

why not? if u exclude rental and bills, $200 can be quite ok already for food. i can survive with $5 a day previously. skip breakfast, then eat rice $2.70 (add rice) in the afternoon, when go back after work, buy 1 bread $1.25 (Fair Price bread). 1 bread can eat 2 days. and of course, buy a bottle of peanut butter (around $3 in value $ store). peanut butter can last around 1 1/2 month. with $200, i think the balance we can use for transportation as well. living standard in SG is quite cheap la. So if include rental $400, phone $70, i can survive with $700 a month. Of course i choose not to survive that way coz I love to eat junk food like those XL chicken chop ($4), so i usually spare $450 for my food. But now i stay in JB, so i will allocate $300 for food, and i can eat like a monster with it everyday tongue.gif

Anyone staying in ang mo kio area having the same problem? Or only me? sad.gif Or do I need to do some setting on my laptop? I called the technical support, they still didn't manage to solve the prob. sigh

Don't have this issue in AMK. I'm using Singtel mobile BB too.

I feel this is a power management issue. Most drivers have a setting that can be enabled to power down the device (modem, LAN card etc) after a short idle period. Change your overall power option to "Always On" and see if that helps. Otherwise, go to control panel and check the settings for each driver that might be important to the internet connection.

on Year 2009, I subscribe Singtel mobile broadband and stay in AMK ave 3. the speed is so slow and I always cannot open any webpage even the connection is still on. I call singtel so many times due to this issue and at the end they say they have connection issue near my area and allow me cancel my contract without any penalty. Please keep give them a call until they can fix your issue, if not they will just pretend nothing happen

During this xmas, maybe I will try first coach or nice. First coach is very convenient because is just next to mrt while nice is very comfortable, but exp. lol. Any other bus you can suggest?
