Trying. They said need 1week to check the coverage around ang mo kio. If cannot fix, then can terminate. But what i fear is what if they tell me the coverage is ok, everything is fine, but my internet still suck. That time I can't terminate, duno what can i do lo.. sigh

Just keep call and ask them come down to show to you it is working if they say coverage is ok. Show them the facts

Got my ticket at malaysia to same destination for only rm19 dollars. Singapore buses are damn overpriced during festive season.
*
No kidding. I bought Sg-Pg normal 3 seater bus for $120. Talk about cut throat (flights sold out). Normally how much is the price? I'm hoping Sg busses won't pull the stop-at-every-state-along-the-way stunt like the last time I bought those sekarang-jalan busses at JB.

QUOTE(k-bkeat @ Dec 5 2010, 10:08 PM)
guys, know anywhere to change cheap currency? from myr to sgd.

The rates won't differ by much as long as you change at money changer and not those bank booths. Even if you change thousands of RM or SGD, maybe you will see a difference by a few RM. Do whatever is convenient.

Added on December 6, 2010, 7:16 pmRemitting seems to have higher exchange rate. Saw that day 2.28 vs 2.29 at Jurong Point. Not sure if the fee is high or not.

You can use this tool to measure specifically what content your isp maybe blocking. So far singapore ISP do traffic shapping on bittorrent but not on youtube videos. My office pacnet dsl fortunately isnt blocked at all.

Hassan & son at Raffles place 65358742 might be higher.

However, I notice that sometimes certain places in Malaysia will be 0.01 to 0.02 higher than Singapore. For me not a bit deal except you change to more than $10k.

The golden rule singaporeans will tell you in politically correct in singapore is, everything is ok until you get caught. That or "dont ask, dont tell" policy.

btw, just in case u didnt know singtel will charge u $0.16/m for VOIp charges and 0.15 for local charges. So total 0.31/minutes for calls to msia.
if not u can sign up for the 5.35 per month, u will save on the o.16 VOIP chanrges.

im guessing change from MYR to SGD, Msia cheaper. (midvale use to be cheap, but i think the demand push their prices up, i mean not so cheap anymore, u can search around masjid india there, but dodgy places lar)
from SGD to MYR, SG cheaper. (dunno where)

QUOTE(Lester1987 @ Dec 6 2010, 08:42 AM)
why not? if u exclude rental and bills, $200 can be quite ok already for food. i can survive with $5 a day previously. skip breakfast, then eat rice $2.70 (add rice) in the afternoon, when go back after work, buy 1 bread $1.25 (Fair Price bread). 1 bread can eat 2 days. and of course, buy a bottle of peanut butter (around $3 in value $ store). peanut butter can last around 1 1/2 month. with $200, i think the balance we can use for transportation as well. living standard in SG is quite cheap la. So if include rental $400, phone $70, i can survive with $700 a month. Of course i choose not to survive that way coz I love to eat junk food like those XL chicken chop ($4), so i usually spare $450 for my food. But now i stay in JB, so i will allocate $300 for food, and i can eat like a monster with it everyday tongue.gif

mine slightly different...
breakfast eat bread, lunch eat malay food(talk with those malay girl in malay they happy then tambah lauk free), then dinner nasi ayam 1.50~2.00
i walk bout 3~4km to work so no transport
the rental for 1st month can hutang as the owner is fren's fren
however i still buy some chicken essence for them as gift
so maybe is only like slightly over 100
