QUOTE(celciuz @ Aug 12 2011, 01:52 PM) I thought this is quite dark already. Oh well, if I use the same exposure as first pic, its pitch black. Can't see anything. Just to understand, the IPS clouding happens when there is light bleeding? Or even without light bleeding also have? I'm using D700 + 16-35 f/4 for these photos. Clouding happens when there's slight viewing angle bending, such as if you look to side-way, you shall see there's yellowish tint across the whole screen. This is normal and not to be worried since it does not affect the overall views which can be proved by the white point, it's not to be confused with bleeding. If you can use tripod the image might be sharper, or is it something else?

It's because of the shallow Depth of Field, that's why the pics appeared blurry. Same case as me last time. He had to use a large aperture value to get the proper exposure, coz it was captured in a dark room.

QUOTE(edisonkum @ Aug 12 2011, 02:02 PM) You can find out by heading to the monitor's web page, adding it to your cart and then entering the coupon code when you select check out. If it works you should see a reduction in price, with calculations shown to you.

Well, you don't even need to see it in the cart, it's written on the product description itself. You can see it the moment you get into 24-30 inch monitor page, not to mention there are several other monitors who have got special codes available as well, such as the U2711. After using U2412M for a few days, totally loving it! 1920x1200 is better for me as per compared to 1920x1080 of my other monitor. More vertical space to work with

haha another one bite by 16:10.....
U2412M seems to have less yellowish compare to my u2711, may be the LED does give an edge over this issue.
BTw Celciuz, can you take some picture with the monitor place in potrait mode? would like to see how good the led back lighting does

Me is GT240 not sure it can utilize & optimize U2412M or not. Eh you haven't take pictures as mentioned by you earlier.

Any graphics card nowadays can put up resolution at any monitor, now just what you want to utilize it for is another matter. Gaming at 1200p? Photoshop-ing at 1200p? Movie at 1200p? All is possible except you might encounter lower FPS on gaming, and what games you usually play on your GT240? What resolution are you using before U2412M?

Just casual gaming that's all. Does not require high-end graphic card. Of course the max resolution.
