QUOTE(pang0119 @ Dec 21 2010, 01:56 PM) just bought a u2311h in the early month but 2day im notice it got a dead pixel on it..so can i send it for warranty? any1 here got experience about the warranty issue.@@~ Since it is a Premium Panel, you should be able to claim warranty for it even if it only has a single dead pixel.Visit Dell's website and find the page to claim warranty. |

QUOTE(owikh84 @ Mar 15 2011, 12:33 PM) Ultrasharp tends to slow boot after the first or second power on. That's true I dont think its a defect but it was born to boot slow. |

QUOTE(apiezsneo @ Apr 1 2011, 08:43 PM) You will definitely not want to return to your old monitor. Previously I was using a 15" monitor before I upgraded to a U2311H, and my, the difference is extremely big. I don't even want to touch the old monitor now |

I don't think that's what you call "ghosting", but rather artifacts. The GPU on your laptop might not be enough for such a large resolution.

QUOTE(apecorp @ Apr 20 2011, 03:22 PM) But im really worried coz the next one they give me will have problems as well or more worse = more problems. If it's less than 21 days old, you should call up Dell Support and demand that they give you an entirely new Dell U2311H because the one you received is faulty. If you don't, they might send you a refurbished unit, just like what happened to me. I called them and demanded for a new unit though, and got it And the other thing is, can i request exchange unit for a NEW UNIT beside having a refurbished unit??.. Added on April 20, 2011, 3:27 pm Dats the thing, i dono wat dat is and i google image didnt come out anything similar like mine. I scare mayb could the problem come from the electric current coming from my socket??? |

QUOTE(everling @ Apr 20 2011, 05:00 PM) Dell U2311H. RM609 for three years premium warranty (can warranty on a single bad pixel). It will be stated right on the box itself. The box my first U2311H replacement came in was a box with its serial number on it and a big label "Refurbished" plastered over it. The second one when I demanded for a totally new one came in, well, new box, with everything including accessories and stuff. They will send any replacement units in a bigger than usual box How can I find out if the unit was refurbished? I had the same feeling too. Then I got myself a dual monitor set up. Now I can't go back to a single monitor set up. |

QUOTE(xEDynamics @ May 12 2011, 01:08 PM) just bought new U2311H Looks to me like the brightness and contrast level is low. You might want to adjust the screen ( U2311H )'s brightness & contrast and get them to a higher level.![]() ST2220T vs 2209WA vs U2311H now i know why U2311H RM6xx le, the built quality is not solid as 2209WA and the color also not accurate and sharp as 2209WA... |

QUOTE(xEDynamics @ May 13 2011, 08:17 PM) u mean factory setting? What about the preset modes? I have mine set to Multimedia and it looks pretty nice that way. You could try that.I already calibrated all monitors...all using Digital output (HDMI and DVI), it hard to calibrated U2311H... If using factory setting 75 75 for all 3 IPS monitors, still 2209WA win...U2311H seems got purple-ish tinting... |

QUOTE(Maxieos @ Jun 7 2011, 11:15 PM) Sorry to ask again This is an example of an IPS panel's ( U2311H ) viewing angle versus a TN panel's ( BX2231 ) viewing angle ( my test ) :Comparing both 2209WA > U2311H the baby face, is it same as this website claim ? http://www.digitalversus.com/duels.php?ty=...52&p2=8953&ph=1 and vs TN panel , is it really as good as it be ? on the baby face ? http://www.digitalversus.com/duels.php?ty=...52&p2=8953&ph=8 Thank you ![]() |

QUOTE(Maxieos @ Jun 7 2011, 11:47 PM) Oh , so the front with window XP taskbar is your TN samsung BX2231 and the back is Dell U2311H ? Thank you for the picture And other question , at some website forum , they mention that http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1584593 What does that mean ? , it's a 6bit IPS panel ? QUOTE(Vigilant @ Jun 8 2011, 07:30 AM) In other word U2311H is inferior to 2209WA in specs? I think somebody have compared 3 Dell monitors side by side before this, I can't remember which pages. The color of 2209WA is much better than U2311H. Well, if that's the true, then yes, the U2311H is not as good as the 2209WA since the 2209WA has an 8 bit panel while the U2311H has a 6 bit panel. An 8 bit panel can display more colors than a 6 bit panel.QUOTE(Ulysses @ Jun 8 2011, 08:06 AM) 6bit version of IPS & 8bit version of IPS...[b]8bit panel is true IPS panel while the 6bit panel IPS is watered-down version of true 8bit That wasn't what I said. The 2209WA is apparently also using an e-IPS panel, but an 8 bit panel. Oh, and please do not simply relate any statements to me without any proof. ...like TDUenthusiast said |
