1. Q:Why ppl said Inspira is improved Lancer? A:Coz Inspira using 15'' Rim, and Lancer using 18'' Rim, sure Inspira more comfortable, but lack of stability and grip. Improved CVT gearbox, and with more better tuned Handling. That's the reason behind of 'Improved Lancer'. But for what I seen, Lancer in term of QA still better than Inspira ALOT!! My friend owns Lancer EX(Not GT - better version), also better than so called 'Improved Lancer'.
2. Q:Why u said Forte is no better than Lancer? A:I think you got it all wrong. Forte is much more better in QA and even compare with it's BODY!! My Forte kena accident, Front is juz slight damage. But hit is very hard(80km/h vehicle rushing, hitting my accelerating 30km/h speed) damage juz little, thanks to the strong chassis, or else my car will be like OMG!! Totalled!! Another 1 u can ask is Izputra, which uses 2.0 Forte...recently an P1 Iswara hit his Forte butt, surprisingly, P1 Iswara front is gone, can't move, can't start engine. Yet, his Forte butt is juz like nothing!!! Juz like need abit of paint job then back to original. Wanna complain?? If u wan prove :

ride and handling....... forte is nowhere near inspira/lancer...

but if feature list...
yes... forte has very good feature list... even the 1.6 spec list easily beats inspira/lancer....

and to the dude right above this post... u need to learn how to differentiate between body panel and chassis...

Hmm are sure? About ride the Forte is way better than the stiff lancer.

Handling wise, go read reviews, most american automobile reviews said the Forte is quite good.
Of course it wouldnt be on par with Civics and most Multi link suspension vehicles.

But lancer has good ride? not quite. Handling wise i think Civic is the best in the class.

I can't say anything about Forte but for the record I did test drive Inspira and make comparison with Civic and I must say Inspira handling wise is as good as Civic.

The only Inspira lacks is starting acceleration from 0km-20km quite slow for 2.0cc.

its not the engine. Its the CVT gearbox.
Yep lancer owners are already complaining about it. Did a Drag race and lancer was the one left behind.
But i think the 1.8M would be good tho.

u need to know that toughness is not good. cars that crumples are better...see EURO NCAP and compare the crash test. it was discussed earlier. not for the inspira, but for the lancer.

lol..

this thread if still exist next year still the same one.. people look at brand not the features.

come forte with 6 speed gb, paddle shift, bluetooth connectivity, LED emitting side mirror also no use one ler.

if you like you buy, just don't follow brand blindly. pay brand badge got tin kosong car is not a good for us in long run. else they still sell tin kosong car without any up to date features.

if you don't like brand other than japs is also ok. but please do a favour la. pressure the manufacturer to include latest tech in their model lineup. say la why korean can why japanese cannot? don't support brand blindly please

For the inspira its true the car comfortable & better handling but Forte not bad at all la.When I purchased my Forte on January 2010,I have already know proton will rebadged lancer for waja replacement in 2008 already but I cannot tahan la because my current car proton satria 1.6 2 door already tight when I already married & have 1 child.Balik kampong the luggage full fromm boot to the backseat.Hehe have to get bigger Car la for Chinese newYear & hari raya 2010.
But I am very happy & love & passionate for my Forte to these day(get the car February 2010).Forte boot are specious (496L).I siap test drive Honda City 2009(508L) 2x & Vios 1x.Last-last get the Forte (test-drive 1x).So far no major problem.FC is quet good for 1.6L & body of Forte vs my old car (satria 1.6 manual 1995).
Inspira I said is better if u choose performance & not FC reasonable person. For 1.8 & 2.0 u must think about roadtax + insuran+Fuel+maintenance.Just compare with proton perdana V^ (Mitsubishi Eterna) parts & service+maintence very cheap ka.Almost every year our price fuel increase. I am happy with my 1.6sx & I use ron95 rm80 can get 500km++. rclxms.gif

Just want to give u some info. When a car bangs another car from behind, usually, the car kena hit , the butt will be minor damage. The car hitting the butt of the car will have more serious damage in front. (Unless maybe Benz bang Kancil lar..).

It doesn't mean ur Forte is super strong.

The infinite variables of collision, will dictates who received the most visible damage. It is not about 'OMG car A got less visible damage than car B therefore car A is tougher.'

I had my bicycle hit Volvo and the Volvo body dent in, while my bicycle intact. Who is tougher?

wrong.... people do look at features too (of course carrying the correct brand helps very much)...
if buyers dont look at features, do you think current forte owners will buy forte? will u be a forte owner?

for me...
suspension setup used is also a feature...

if forte has 6 speed slushbox, paddle shift, etc etc and uses all round independent suspension, i will get it immediately regardless of what other say about korean brand as it tick all the right box for me...
unfortunately this car now tick all the correct box but not the 2 most important box which is drive train and suspension...
smile.gif

because all round independent suspension setup is very high on my must have feature list...

everyone also had their own opinion to get their dream cars. i've choosen mine. my only choice is safety, not comfort. my life depends on it, if i choose comfort, not safety, then is better than i dun own it. Forte's technology is not important 2 me. but various of safety features, plus the body toughness, could say on par with Ford cars.
so in term of Inspira vs. Forte, definitely Forte, which is worth for price too.

my 10 year old Elantra last time banged a wira. Boot kemek, bumper all pecah..rearlights all gone. The elantra damn tough minor damages only.

Have u seen accidents involving P2 cars on the road which was hit from behind? Have you?

Weird no one bothered to mention that forte got ESC/ESC.
ESC alone cost how much already to put as standard on a car?
Which other sub 100k have ESC/ASC?
