QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Nov 21 2010, 11:36 PM) 5) The Inspira has a CVT gearbox. Does Proton have the expertise to maintain or repair this type of gearbox should any problem arise? There is no serviceable components for CVT gearbox - a sudden shock and slip happens in the gearbox then permanent damage. It needs to be replaced as a whole. The part that can be serviced is the torque converter. So no expertise needed. |

Interesting Campro got a 'boost' in 4.1k rpm, meanwhile Vios got boost in 5.7k rpm.
I'm very interested in power/torque graphs. Probably should pinned a thread for collection of stock cars' power/torque graph. |

The infinite variables of collision, will dictates who received the most visible damage. It is not about 'OMG car A got less visible damage than car B therefore car A is tougher.'
I had my bicycle hit Volvo and the Volvo body dent in, while my bicycle intact. Who is tougher? |

QUOTE(Taipan052 @ Jan 3 2011, 05:32 PM) No CVT, just plain 6 speed convention auto box. No idea on new features - the current Forte already filled with features. Hope to have HID with auto-leveling, hydrophilic windscreen. This post has been edited by dstl1128: Jan 3 2011, 06:31 PM |

QUOTE(Taipan052 @ Jan 3 2011, 06:39 PM) but i heard from SA is CVT one.. SA is dumb most of the time. CVVT engine yes maybe but not CVT gearbox. Just like Nissan SA keep saying their engine got CVT just like VVT-i. And another Nissan SA keep saying their gearbox is CVVT. |

Read about Hyundai CVT... so far used in Elantra hybrid. And plans to use the transmission on 'smaller' models. Since you said so as well, then I believe 2011 Forte would be CVT. Cool!
Weird that others country Forte facelift is having conventional 6spd auto gearbox. p/s: If that so, then Hyundai's SA is better than Nissan's. This post has been edited by dstl1128: Jan 4 2011, 07:10 AM |

They might share the GEMA stuff but mounting can be different. I like CVT more than dual-clutches.
