You mean picture suddenly freeze during watching programme?

I noted that Astro ZhiZun programmes always hanged .. could it be the broadcast issue from astro? The symptom is hanged for 1 or 2 sec then the programme will fast forward ...

something smell like the vcd rosak or internet video buffering so lag??

hello,i face a problem that my decoder display nothing when using hdmi to connect,it only work @ component.

tv model = LG 32LD310

i also tried it with my pc monitor using hdmi to dvi, but no signal too...

my decoder also cant set my tv type to HD ,and also unable to enter hd setting

it;s either ur HDMI port not activated or you did not subscribe to HD service (extra RM20 per month). HDMI only works if you subscribe to HD service

then you likely need to call Astro service center for the HDMI port activation status.

I was pretty amazed that standard program on B.yond hooked to HDTV via HDMI looks much better than the older decoder box showing the same SD program using component.

Not sure what is causing this noticeable increase in picture quality for SD program. Is it because:
1. The B.yond is a better box than the old box?
2. Or is the HDMI doing some amazing stuff?

Except for some SD program showing some very old program, all the newer made SD program is very very nice indeed.

It really depends on your TV. Certain TVs have really poor scaler wehn it's being fed with SD programs. With B.yond Box, if you choose a 720 or 1080i, the box will scale the pic to the corresponding resolution and it'll most probably looks prettier if your scaler sucks.

As for me, My old TV was kinda suck at upscaling the pic but my new one that I just bought a couple of months ago. Have infinitely better upscaling that the B.yond Box.

Same Panasonic 50U watching SD program. With old Astro box hooked with component cable, SD sucks big time. With new B.Yond box hooked with HDMI, amazing and not losing much to Astro HD.

So my question is, it is the magic of B.yond or HDMI?

BTW, I haven't began exploring the B.yond box, you mean we can select 720 or 1080 output to TV?

Magic of B.yond together with HDMI as only thru HDMI can teh upscaled image be carried to the TV.

Yup can change 720p or 1080i. go into installation settings and HD settings to change it.

I personally think byond box does a good job.

You can try this one. Connect byond box to your tv using component cable & HDMI. Change your tv input source between component & HDMI, compare PQ. For me, I barely see the different. It's also depend on your TV.
