QUOTE(eMKs @ Jan 17 2011, 12:06 PM) The only thing that hesitate me to go for PVR is because of the HDD space. I like the idea of ext HDD as you can have as many HDD as you want (off course only one can be plugged at a time). With the price still going down (I saw RM185 last week), it's a good choice. Conflict program is not a big problem as Astro will repeat the program several times. i think the problem using external hdd is the usb connection With PVR, you will stuck with space less than 100 hours for HD channel (most of my recorded program in HD). If Astro allow PVR to attached with ext HDD or to be able to transfer to external media (pray hard) not that secure fit -maybe just maybe yup stuck with 100 hrs always need to clear the recording |

QUOTE(lapaq @ Jan 31 2011, 02:24 PM) I prefer a more intelligent group of consumers in Malaysia. This is not Astro's problem. The problem is we the consumers. We are the one letting these companies do this to us. Take a look not only at Astro, what about Streamyx, TM, and the likes. These are all companies where everybody complains almost everyday. But at the end of the year, these are the companies whom profits are still great. Just like my neighbour, they shout at each other everyday, loathes each other, but still manages to live more than 20 years together and raise 8 kids! Why? For me I vote with my RM. coz only then will they realise that we mean business. If you feel that your money is not worth the service level that they are giving, then stop giving them money. What I don't understand is, you know this one Mamak stall sells Nasi Kandaq that tastes like shit, but you still go there everyday and eat that shit and complains almost ever day! Not really bright isn't it? You guys will probably say "bu bu but there is only one Mamak Stall (i.e. one Astro, satellite TV provider) around so you have no choice". If that is the case, then I feel sorry for you. I feel very sorry as you are a generation of people so easily controlled by big corporation where entertainment is something you can't live without. To you it's a need rather than a want. Anyway, I don't want to argue/debate too much as there is a saying on the intarweb that goes "On the intarweb, if you win an argument you are still a retard" p/s: I'm sure I'm gonna have everyone jump in arms and complains/argues some more....personallyI don't really care since that is what Malaysians do...they complain and they argue. What I'm doing here is just to help fellow forummers since I have a way to help. I just want everyone to enjoy HD as good things becomes great if we share! That is enough for me. already busted my quota of LYN posting for the whole month! lapaq kecik hati |

If the program I want to record daily or weekly does not have a "Series Link " , is there a way to manually schedule it ? For example , WWE Raw have no series link. In Astro Max we can add manual schedule recording. Can we do this in Byond PVR ? Thanks. just go manually the channel schedule then select the show u want to record but need to do it frequently |
