Depends the model you want buy. If beginner set then 2nd hand shud be around rm3k with mesh heads. If higher model will b more expensive although I dont see much ppl selling their roland kit.

Or u can opt alternative get normal drums then get the mesh head from me rclxms.gif

hmmm thanks for the warm welcome..wink.gif..
ok put it this way..i've been playing drums for about 3 years now..BUT..i've never taken interest into what models and which heads are the best...i just go to church and whack only..using a Yamaha with pinstripe heads...that's the only information i know..

now i want to buy a set of edrums to improve my skill which sad to say now is only beginner level..hahahaha...(even after 3 years tongue.gif)...so if i get a cheap set..then my friends say u lose ur touch and feel when u play acoustics..is that true?...any good 2nd edrums to recommend in the range of 3k?

my personal view and advise...if u spent too much time on the e-drums you would lost touch on the acoustic set (personal experience tho)...coz the surface of the e-drums produce a different bounce...thus if your arms and legs and its muscles has develop to condition to such feel then when u go on the acoustic set it will feel somewhat awkward..

so get yourself a decent acoustic drum set at home!! biggrin.gif may be can drop by and tumpang main ur new set hehehehe

If acoustics set, you can get quite a decent kit for 3k. Depends if you're wiling to go for 2nd hand.

Actually starting on e-kit is not bad in my opinion. If you're not going professional and playing just for fun, you can treat it as an electronic drum rather than thinking that its an acoustic drum. Even if you plan to go further into acoustics later, starting on ekit gives you the basic of drumming and then later when you change to acoustics, you just need to adjust to the acoustics which is not difficult if you already practiced on ekit.

Also there are acoustic-electronic hybrid kit but its complicated for beginners. smile.gif

There are brand new set for e-drum at the range of 3k actually.
I personally do not recommend e-drums. There are a lot of things that e-drums could not do, especially with the hi-hat.. E-drum hi hat sucks..
Another thing is the feeling.. The bass kick, you will be kicking into a hard pad.. Totally the different feeling of kicking into a bass skin of the bass drum.. That applies to other as well (Snare, tom tom)..

Symbols will be sucky (Only 1 or 2 kind of sound no matter how u hit it)

If you are serious, get an acoustic one for sure. But if you going for usual practice and just to keep touch with drum without having to worry of disturbing your neighbor, then you can go for e-drum..

Anyway. You can buy silence pad for acoustic drum. It can reduce the sound..

I am just talking out of experience..
e-drum hi-hat and crash/cymbals are really limited.. Just a few kind of sound.. You use 5A, 7A or whatever.. Broomstick also can.. Whack it, sound is the same..

For an interesting music (At least for me), your beat is consistent, but the sound is not boring..
With 1 kind of sound, after a few month, you will get bored with that kind of sound.. Could not get further by exploring how you hit to get what type of sound, bcuz it is so robotic.. Hahaha
