ANYWAY... Since we seem to just be hanging around and doing nothing...

Here's something for you guys to discuss


ELECTRIC DRUM vs ACOUSTIC DRUM.

1. For live shows
2. For under 3k budget
3. For unlimited budget.

Which would you choose?

Definitely acoustic drums! Definitely good for shows (like duh haha). Under 3k budget? Should be able to get some descent stuff. FOR UNLIMITED BUDGET? OH BABY! HAHAHAHA

If no limitations acoustic drums will be the best for everything. Maybe in recording electronic drums can make it easier.

The only reason I would choose to use elctronic drums is because of complains from others. If no complains will go acoustic all the way.

Number 1, Electric drums for live shows just don't make it.

Unless you're on a Roland TD-20 which is RM 30k, number 2.

For number 3, there's still higher grades acoustic drums like DW/Ludwig/etc that can beat Electric drums flat.



I've seen this drum kit before.

Forgotten who's though.

1. Acoustic definitely for live shows, no?

2. RM3k budget.... I'd get myself a used set, maybe an old Tama Swingstar for about RM1.5k and get used Iron Cobras...RM600 and cymbals, get a Stagg promo set or the Sabian Recycled series

3. And if it was an unlimited budget, obviously I'd go for an acoustic set Maybe a Tama Warlord Limited Edition set But if I were to go for an electric set, I'd pick either the Roland TD20KX or the Yamaha DTXtreme III I've played the Yamaha before and it feels so...so... good. HAHAHAHA

But of course, the best thing would be to mesh it together

Anyway, I'm thinking of getting a TD-9 module... Then placing it on a practice pad kit and shifting it around my set Your thoughts?
