QUOTE(isaacmiranda7 @ Nov 19 2010, 12:14 AM) But drum mics are expensive If just for the cymbals then do u think cheaper mics will do? QUOTE(franklooi96 @ Nov 19 2010, 03:10 AM) I heard there's this Panasonic Lumix Digital Camera that could also record acoustic sounds. Well, budget enough. |

QUOTE(Domero @ Nov 26 2010, 03:25 AM) Well for start.. i don't have a kit (yes sad isn't it? :\) i usually just play in jamming studios.. recorded some vids of me playin cover music too. had my own band which made me start my drumming.. wow u can play all those songs without having a kit to practice all self thought by listening to music, air drumming and play for real whenever i have the chance. all instruments i play are self thought.. so i can't read notes LOL my main influence would be saosin, ill nino, blindspott, breaking benjamin, paramore.. yeah no real genre.. well i play mostly metal. I try to play all genre where i can.. but it still depends if i like the music or not i am trying to get my own kit but i have other priorities atm.. hehe |

QUOTE(isaacmiranda7 @ Dec 1 2010, 11:50 AM) Yep TD9 kx is expensive. Around rm10k not sure how much in Malaysia. But i once saw someone successfully bid a new kit for around rm3k. I was going to bid for it just that I didnt have enough cash that time and I didnt thought the guy would get so lucky. Usually there will be many ppl bid against him if the price is so low. Maybe just his lucky dayThough I'd like to see the TD9 down too The Epic comes with bronze hardware, and its a 6 piece set Yup The Ludwig Epic is birch/maple/birch. A great combo of everything |

QUOTE(albarb @ Dec 3 2010, 05:11 PM) hi guys, How do i choose a drum base on the environment of the room? Like what kind of environment should i choose what kind of drum? thnx read a few post that u guys having dilemma choosing a drum set. just to share my experience/preference on buying a drum set. ♦ usage - what purpose of you buying a drum, home practice, active musician, for recording or for live show • practicality - where are u going to play your drum (at home, studio), environment of your room (sound proof, normal bedroom, garage). find a drum which u have an easy access for replacement parts and low maintenance (depend on how u care on ur drum as well) • budget - after u have set your requirement, then u set ur budget...look up the price for several drum to compare. why i put budget last on the list, because if u totally depends on your budget, let say 1k - 2k, your options will be limited and you will not get what u want. better save more rather then rushing just to own a drum (i've experience this once, total waste of my money) as for myself, im just a bedroom drummer, once a week practice in studio, doing some amateur recording and once in a blue moon played live. so i dont think i will buy a high end drum although is damn nice to have one if i can afford it. my budget 2.5k - 3.5k. looking for a 6 piece drum as i would like to practice all type of music. end up with PDP FS |
