i got a problem...

If i heavy revved my car up to 6000rpm for couple of gear... then after that... run normal bak.... i can hear something vibrating in engine bay. Like klak... klak... klak...
Sound like exhaust pipping vibrating... but i am sure my pipe wont vibrate like that. Do you guys think it is my piston / crankshaft / valve problem?

My engine is stock standard... no high cam... no stroker kit...
If i drive normally this wont happen.

In the first place why you want to rev it to 6k? It is very damaging to the engine... Also using RON95 or RON97 do have difference on this...

price not include installation laa... coz i dun own a bengkel...

possibly loose piston ring due to old age... check ur engine mounting as well... whats the idle rpm after u've revved 6000rpm??...

After rev 6000 rpm. Idle around 800rpm. Klak klak klak sound with engine vibrating.... like want to die off...

This thing always happen if push too hard. I afraid it will kong on the way to work or long journey ... unsure.gif

should be no problem i think... dun rev ur engine so often lor... old liao cannot withstand so high stress...

Hey guys i have a q to ask. I drive a 98 carburator, 3 spd automatic 1.5
Last time my car start cold have to crank a few times and after start the fuel like don't want to go in when i engage gear and step on the accelerator, sometimes the engine would die too.
I've listened to many sifu here advice + mec advice, i changed spark plug, battery, service carburetor (the mec took out and wash), even change a new air filter, the car improved much better initially.
but....
now i still have to crank the car twice when it starts cold and initial 3 second the fuel like dont go in like that, but after that everything works fine. What may be the problem and what should i change tomorrow i plan to service car, is it the ignition or the fuel line or is it both?
Do i change:
1.spark plug cable? what brand and how much?
2.fuel pump?
3.Do i go to some after market accesories store and buy grounding cable heard it improves ignition?
4.Does the my car have a fuel pressure regulator, is that faulty or if it doesn't and if installed one would it solve my initial 3 seconds (sounds like fuel not going in) problem?

advice much appreciated

1. those silicone cable from spare parts shop should do the job... Not from performance shop where you pay extra.
2. fuel pump died = your car unable to start
3. go to electrical shop, buy the thicker wire. Then lay 1 from battery's -ve to engine chasis.
A multimeter tells a thousand words.
Add the fuel cleaner, injection cars have its injection cleaner, carby cars got its also. Pour 1 bottle and see. Or alcohol(I'm promoting it as fuel cleaner, haha).....

1.This is the spark plug cable, so do i get the original one 8mm from proton or is there other brand to reccommend.

carb cleaner you still need to add every 2000km to maintain performance.
.... I'm quite speechless... The "grounding" is quite simple... Lucky never ask you to do lay the wire from alternator ground to your engine chasis....

See the above photo. You can see there's 3 nuts that holding the engine cover? That's the place you can add the grounding. It may not good but is a good start since you are not good on electronics. Then the other end connect it to your battery's black terminal.
