From what I understand, LCP slightly improves pick up. I too was thinking of installing LCP, but maybe during the time I need to change timing belt.
*
Actually LCP releases torque throughout the whole rpm
Most noticable is the low end smile.gif

Ahh I see. Meaning that it produces more torque in low end RPM eh ? Does that means it loses torque at high end ?
*
Not for mine, at high end keep on increasing. Touch 6000rpm flat torque till 6500rpm redline smile.gif

Not surprising bro
FYI, stock lancer GT only around 11x at the wheels smile.gif
You have advantage in the power to weight department

What gear when you start accelerate from 80km/h onwards?

hmm...base on my experience, lancer GT only got advantage over than 160km/h compare to wila, cuz its heavier n the GB responce is suck when pickup.... shakehead.gif
tried to keep up with a lancer in plus hiway from tg malim to rawang recently...my car can reach 170kmh easily n i still manage to lead it, but the lancer was getting faster n faster n it overtook me untill i cant see it at all.... doh.gif

His MIVEC just kicked in YO at that time

MIVEC got kick one meh ? Speaking of MIVEC, which is better, 1.8 MIVEC or 4G93T ? In terms of overall performance and maintenance.
*
Means his MIVEC at that time only show its power ler, not the adrenaline kick like the VTEC. I've sat in a 1.6 MIVEC be4, MIVEC engaged no adrenaline rush, but its going very fast and the sound biggrin.gif

Performance of course the 93T will win.

ya, i think the weight is GT disadvantage.
if just barely hit 80, 3rd gear. If more than 80, 4th gear.
dun think the guy sayang the car, he even overtook the car infront even when its double lane.
looks like wira can only play with them on pickup
Btw, your car is 1.5 or 1.6?
93t for pickup but cannot long2 on top speed. Mivec can top speed all the way.
*
More than 80km/h 4th gear? Means the Lancer GT didn't really tekan full also because you are not even hitting redline in your Wira smile.gif

What he was saying is that the turbo can't top speed for very long time due to heat (it can be solved of course)

is there any huge difference between 4G92P compare to Mitsu's 4G92 mivec? i mean in terms of performance, is it worth upgrading from the 4G92p to the mivec version?
*
You're gonna use back your 4G92P block for the upgrades? or straight halfcut?

Hi all,

Today when I on A/C, my car feel like no power..like underpower..I'm driving Wira 1.5 Auto(4G15)..

Actually what is the problem will cause the car underpower when A/C on?

Besides that, I would like to get some opinions from you all, is it worth to invest more on Wira? since its old car, and will it be very hard to find spare part later on?
*
Its normal.....mine running like a 1.3 with aircond on

are both of the 4G92 blocks the same?
according to wiki, the sohc is a more fuel efficiency engine compare to the mivec dohc version, i am just wondering are the block same?
*
MIVEC block is way better of course (tough)
It has oil squirters as well to cool the pistons and etc etc

SOHC doesn't have oil squirters but you can dump in MIVEC pistons brows.gif
But seriously, MIVEC now is overpriced, not worth at all (for me)

QUOTE(Lineage @ Sep 30 2010, 10:58 AM)
How to check whether my engine is SOHC or DOHC?  hmm.gif
*
SOHC you can see 1 campulley only, DOHC has 2 (bigger cylinder head)

Then Wira 1.5 Auto 4G15 is SOHC or DOHC?
*
The old 4G15 is a SOHC
The new 4G15 is a DOHC powering the Mitsubishi Colt

That is 1 of the reasons ler~~
Plus for tuning the cams, DOHC is always better than SOHC
SOHC engine is lighter and etc etc etc etc
