I have tried again tonight with RB250GS with no luck, exactly same as last night with the link keep dropping, which caused the IPTV to be jerky, with error message saying service is unavailable. Have to use Auto Nego or it won't connect at all. It can't be the RB250GS is faulty, can it? By the way, I still cannot connect to Live TV through both TM-615 and RB250GS, so it means I still have line problem.
Added on September 21, 2010, 11:06 pmI set the Port 1 manually at 1000 Mbps and Port 2 100 Mbps, and suddenly it works, VOD is smooth now. However, I still cannot get Live TV (I can't get Live TV from TM-615 either), so I hope it is just line problem and my RB250GS is indeed working? Keep my fingers crossed. QUOTE(pinkeeywave @ Sep 21 2010, 11:24 PM) anyone knows what's the configuration for retail DIR615(C2) flashed with DD-WRT for C? One of the ports should be the WAN port, you can do trial and error and figure it out in half an hour or so. there's no vlan setting like what is being described in athena. need help here.... Hey guys,
I have a (dumb) question. Where do you check the down/up stream & SNR on the DIR615? Can't seem to find it - I'm probably looking in the wrong place. Thanks for your help. |

Hi there,
I've just installed my unifi vip5. I am planning to use 2 routers (dlink connected to my wrt45grouter) i have found the guide in athena but therethay said after bridging i should turn off the wifi function on dlink. "It's also best to disable the wifi capabilities of the DIR-615 as they wont be needed anymore (Setup -> Wireless Setup -> Multiple Wireless Network Name Setup)." The question is can i leave both wifi function on both routers on? This is because my second router is only wireless g. Pls help |

QUOTE(billytong @ Sep 21 2010, 08:53 PM) How you guys break the 615? lol. Running the 615 in bridge mode definitely improve the stability of the unit. However, one of the lights on the unit turn orange (instead of the normal green), I suspect eventhough it works, the unit is not optimized for it's job (as a dumb switch). Don't know any of you guys have this 'symptom'? Also lately, I have been using utorrent, the upload speed for outstrip the download speed (e.g. 6kb/s download, 541kb/s upload), is the TM fair usage policy starting to rear its ugly head?Since Sept 1 I am running in bridge mode with over 8 hours online almost everyday torrented 50GBs, watched IPTV, trading online, youtubing , even with all that my 615 still running perfectly. |

QUOTE(hwteh @ Sep 21 2010, 04:41 PM) My IPTV stopped working after I have not access it for sometime. Previously, if I do a cold start (unplug) power cable) it will reconnect to the DHCP server back, but now there is a blank screen with a satellite image at the top left corner and says server connection error. I have noted that Riz has mentioned before that TM servers will refuse "unconventional" IPTV connection method, am I one of the "blacklisted" case? I am currently using reconfigured TM DIR 615 in bridge mode (as per Riz instruction) and connected to my old trusty retail DIR 615 which is very stable. Appreciate a response from anyone has the same problem as mine. (My Internet connection and VOIP is working very well. I have tried calling TM, either they ask you to do cold start or restart, never seems to work). I tried yesterday to reset the STB by pressing the button next to the small LCD screen and it suddenly starts working! Then I tried to verify this is not just a fluke by switch it off (using the remote) and starting again, it started to download some updates and on completion the server error (#100081) returns. This error always occurs prior to the splash screen that shows the Hari Raya Puasa greeting. I unplug the power cable from the STB and it started normally and working again. The lesson from this episode is that somehow, the upgrade process played a part in the server connection error. Anyone who have this similar problem with their IPTV connection can verify this for me? |

I have a healthy 560kbps / 8kbps rate on utorrent Sorry, even though I have 500kbps upload now, I still don't want to contribute lolz. |
