I think TM have not decided on this stuff yet, so enjoy it while its free. smile.gif

the FAQ said it is free until Sept, so it is still quite confuse who is right/wrong. The system is not following what the FAQ and announcement said.

It will be a HUGE fail if we use up all the 100 points then at the end of the month only realize that arent free & TM drop a bomb in ur bill.

I think a public outcry will make them reversed it, at least temporary, just like the bandwith cap.

I believe the 2nd phone port is for a second line from TM (a new number).

See this URL: http://www.unifi.my/unifi/index.php?option...d=62&Itemid=209

Under "Additional Voice Line". It's an additional RM25 per month + call charges.

However, if you just want to connect additional equipment to your existing line, the regular telephone splitter box will work just fine. Put it between the GPON unit and the supplied DECT phone, and connect your other equipment (wired phone, fax, etc) to the splitter. If you just want more phones around the house, it's probably easier to get more DECT phones.

I thought they would call to make an appointment after registration? I just apply today but the system was down and couldn't proceed next procedure but i already give my option of choosing my house number etc and they say they would call me after everything is done n make the appointment.

QUOTE(catl @ Sep 18 2010, 02:19 AM)
Guys, I have a problem with Unifi and the wireless router they provided.

After 30 mins of surfing, I would suddenly lose connection to the wireless router.
Actually, I'm still connected (both the unifi "modem" and the wireless router) but I can't surf on the internet anymore.
What I usually do is then to switch to another wireless network and switch back to Unifi.

This is very annoying because it means I can't download stuffs which will take more than 30mins for the full download (huge files).
And then I have to start all over again.
Looks like my old Streamyx more reliable.

Anyone from Unifi care to help or any suggestions from LYN members here?

Btw, I'm using a MacBook.
*
Happens to me too, infact, I have had to replace the router once and I'm getting another
one tomorrow (3rd router since installation earlier this month). The router life span is really short.
Since I have registered to Unifi, I have only been able to use it for a few days.

E.g. 1 day all fine, 3 days router problem and to get replacement, 2 days fine, 4 days down again and still no call from technician to
set appointment date.

My opinion is they should have waited until they are fully ready and prepared in terms of services and equipments.
I don't mind paying the rather expensive fees if they can maintain good services, but now I'm having 2nd thought.

If my 3rd router dies again after a few days, I'm going to get them to waive my first month's fee.
This is just bull****

Link is on the Unifi site, password for it is in the registration email/printout during service signup confirmation.

thats why better get custom routers and setup..

Or if you dont want IPTV just change DIR-615 firmware to DD-WRT..it should work flawlessly thumbup.gif
