Right... even my house and office have wifi, but I still think Data plan is a must especially when you go out shopping or raya. You must go out to other places instead office and home only rite..  hmm.gif  biggrin.gif

nice solution. But it will a bit crampy when you are in GPRS network and sharing with multiple user. 3G and EDGE should be ok I think.
*
I just dont understand why majority of u guys complained abt Digi's network coverage!!! tongue.gif

Asked yrself, how OFTEN will u be out of Digi's HSPDA/3G/Edge coverage area in 1 day? 1 week? 1 month? 1 qtr of the year, 6 months? 1 year?

I will tell u that u will be IN Digi's coverage 99.99% of the time!!

I was in Pulau Redang recently, i can upload my pics to facebook using GPRS!! Do i need HSPDA/3G/Edge to upload? If available, yah, why not. If no, i still can upload using GPRS!

I still can get in touch with my friends on email, facebook using GPRS.

Well, no youtube for u when using GPRS!

So, if u r 99.99% of the time IN Digi's HSPDA/3G/Edge coverage area, go for it.

so the extended 1 work the same?
my concern is to block DATA completely.

Yes, SMODA does not rename APN, i block everything. not even MMS can get in.

My Q is, does the DATA NETWORK toggle on extended control block data from transmit?
*
try download APN from market..it block data transmit..

guys, i tried the 3 button to enter recovery, but its random, sometimes it enters to recovery straight away, sometimes the startup screen just keeps on and off, any idea?  rclxub.gif
*
That's good news. Likely that recovery is working on your phone, only human errors involved during the procedure. For phones with recovery disabled, it won't work all the time.

Voodoo lagfix doesn't require you to root =)

Just go here http://project-voodoo.org/download , download the update.zip

put it inside your internalSD, rename it to update.zip

go to recovery mode, flash update.zip

wait for few minutes to startup, voila~ you got super fast SGS now.

much better

OCLF starts to lag when you install alot of apps, and it lags like HELL when you installing an app.

voodoo is just much smoother in every way. Try it.

BUT first remove your OCLF before you apply voodoo

Eek. I tried to set up GPRS and MMS APN manually. I took my best effort to type in everything slowly and beautifully but as I select Save, it's not even there on APN list. It can't save sad.gif

I do it manually because it also can't save the received configuration from DiGi. It's always disappearing.

I seem to have problems with my unit, where it wont start up even on full charge. but it will if I connect the usb and then turn it on. without usb to help 'kickstart' it, the phone just wont start!

I didnt remove OCLF. But I remove EXT2. Keeping it for rooting my SGS coz I need to use Titanium BackUP.
Any issue so far using Voodoo?
