QUOTE(anonymus @ Sep 7 2010, 08:41 AM) Mine to share whats the apps Its called mVideoPlayer. Here are some key features of "mVideoPlayer": · Subtitle support(.srt) · Remembers exit position for each video · Oncreen information: Time, Battery Status, Elapsed Time · Gestures, seek back/forward · Trackball support, seek back/forward · Key Lock, prevents you from accidently paus, seek or exit · Delete, Rename Videos + Subtitles · Subtitle Search - Directly from application · Download subtitles from SubtitleSource.org fast and easy without leaving the application · IMDb info scraper to view movie information from Imdb.com I guess it supports whatever native video player support. I'm running a divx movie with subtitles and it works fine. |

QUOTE(Jason @ Sep 7 2010, 11:09 AM) brother.. what do you download on your phone till you need 3gb? i am asking because i am curious how you guys use the SGS.. Some of use use the phone as a modem/wifi router too. So 3GB would be ideal for that.things i will be doing for sure is surfing the web (i love to read), doing youtube, downloading audiobooks and music.. |

QUOTE(kmrdeva @ Sep 7 2010, 11:15 AM) Hmm, the same questions keep coming back. If your phone is rooted, you can use Titanium Backup (free version available) to backup your phone. I think MyBackup Pro (not free app) can backup non-rooted phones too. Easiest way to root is by downloading One Click Lagfix on Android market. The app has an option to root your phone, and unroot it.If you don't know what 'root' means, please check the FAQs on the first page. Other than that, I know there are some specific backup apps to backup your Web bookmarks, APNs, SMS, Call Logs - I have tried BookmarkSB, APN Backup & Restore, SMS Backup & Restore and Call Logs Backup & Restore. You can find these apps on the Android Market. For phone contacts and calendar, you can sync them with your Google account. Go to Settings / Accounts and Sync on your phone to add your Google account and enable sync. Try it, it's fairly easy.. |

QUOTE(naimadam @ Sep 12 2010, 08:39 PM) it seem to disappear from my Samsung app after i flash custom firmware on mine. Before OCLF, Facebook for Samsung was a good alternative since it was lagging when you swype in Android Facebook. But I no longer experienced that after lag fix. So now, Android version seems better due to the sharing embedded (you can chose pictures then share without going into FB first) and you can Like items.i never use Facebook for Samsung before. |

I find that I liked OCLF better than voodoo. Voodoo messed up auto brightness for me. Disabled voodoo and back to OCLF.

QUOTE(CoffeeDude @ Sep 14 2010, 10:16 PM) Hi I'm just wondering if I get an Android based phone like this SGS, do I need to get a data plan? Without data plan, I would say your experience with the phone will be crippled. Its still a good phone with great multimedia function, but, yeah...I'm currently using a symbian phone with prepaid line only. |

QUOTE(MYstombox @ Sep 14 2010, 10:19 PM) Sales code doesn't really matter la. Ah, forgot about wifi.Added on September 14, 2010, 10:21 pm I don't have a data plan, i am using adhoc. But then again, most of the time I'm in a wifi enabled area. So I don't really find that not having a data plan is crippling. Me, Apart from my house, no wifi for me. So data plan is crucial. |

Whats the current official Malaysian firmware? Might need to send the phone for warranty.

QUOTE(jujx @ Sep 15 2010, 01:19 PM) Did you unplug the cable without dismounting SGS from PC? I got that once because i did that. No.pull down notification and dismount from there, dismount from PC doesn't work The phone wont start unless I connect them to USB first. If I do that, the USB status will ALWAYS stay connected even when cable are removed. This makes entering recovery almost impossible too, since USB cannot be connected while entering recovery. I'm f***ed. I think I'll just unrooot it using OCLF and send it for warranty directly. |
