ough, still presists as in still got the same knocking or it has reduced?

done this during my 5k service at Pandan Indah SC..
it dramatically reduced, but not fully eliminated..
it's like around 70% only..

and i dunno y they need my geran to claim this valve..
need me walk all the way back home to get the geran..

Seems that many personarians face knocking sound on uneven road. Adding the orifice valve did not solve my issue as well. Face this issue after 5 months of using.
Sigh..the sound pretty annoying especially for a new car and if taking passenger. Really shy..
Now problem solve, no more hearing sound on uneven road.


Also my back seat also having weird sound and reported to SC and they put those black tape on the back seat hock. Problem solve.

As at today, I do still here sound provided I turn off my speaker. Maybe due to my 45 series tyre which contribute the sound in my car.

Talking bout fuel consumption, only manage to run 350km on one single full tank on either on RON 95 or 97. Top up fuel when light indicator lid up.

i don't know about you, but i'm 21 when i take car loan with CIMB, maybe depend on bank T&C, and their ask me to get guarantor bcz of my age's walaupun my salary more then it needs

maybe it depend on bank..rite bro?

fuel indicatior light on it more or less utilize about 30-35L already.

Added on September 22, 2010, 8:05 pmstill persisit. this evening i observe one thing, there is a plate with screw dismantle and hanging on the body. its near the front drive door, inside the body about the front tyre. suspect that cause the issue. will check further when i am free.

my PE now 5month old,
prob,

- aircond vent got rattling sound again. (last time their already change but prob occur again)
- Metal knocking ( dont know if my SC know what is orifice valve can someone show me the picture how it looks alike so easy for me to clarify with them)
- at roof line rubber got lil bit peel-off.

among my prob just minor, and ofcoz weird rubber sound from my passenger door, already fix 2times, and still not done. their do lazy job~

they ask for my geran too..lucky i have it with me tht time.

Have been driving mine since Sept. 2009 so it is 1 yr. 2 weeks already ( 17K Km+) today. I must admit that I run mostly on good surfaces (good roads) & I try my best not to make small U-turns or maximum steering wheel turns. I have this notion that doing so will hasten the tearing of both the drive shaft boots & steering tie-rod boots. I am quite surprise you say there are so many Personarians with this knocking sound because mine has none whatsoever.

Come to think of it, I don't see how this so-called valve can solve the problem. The valve serves to allow a one way flow of the power steering fluid & nothing more. And I don't see any valve in the tube below the power steering fluid container of my car. I strongly suspect the guys at the SC inserted the valve as well as tightening the bolt/nuts of all the suspension & steering components. If they did it well. The sound would be minimize or eliminated.

No one knows exactly how many Personas have this problem. It could be an isolated problem (i.e more cars are without this problem rather than with)
Don't you think that Proton,by now, would have told the power steering component supplier to insert this valve into the tube before they assemble the car? Inserting the valve into the tube is not exactly an easy job. They have to remove the fluid,pull out the tube, insert the valve & re-insert the fluid. Too labour intensive & time wasting for all concerned.

how come u never turn finish ur steering, persona cornering radius very bad, almost everyday i will hit my steering finish to do cornering and i feel the car really big with small turn radius.

anyway, want to change my stock rim, want ask, if i change to 15' does the wheel looks smaller?

as i keep on getting new problem with the persona each day, i am wondering whether this is true. in addition, when i received my car, all QC stickers and plastic already removed. its my first new car and i dont get the chance to tear the plastic off the seat..

dis saturday am going to send it for 1st service and am not sure if i can get all my problems rectified.

want to support malaysian product but...haih..

They need your payslip ... of 3 months usually... to prove u have steady income surpassing their minimum requirement ...if you have any other pay to prove it to them.. i guess... OT,comission , incentive counts in as well
