QUOTE(rex82 @ Sep 3 2010, 12:39 PM) by the way, when going to service for 1k if i using bardahl full synthetic is it ok? Just wanna treat my car as good as possible coz the bardahl not that expensive make sure u find a correct proton SC that allow u to bring own engine oil.. mayb the one that u always go to..And when come to 10k service, i know that if using full synthetic can last up to 10k so at 5k i need to go back to SC to change the oil filter? the one i went allowed me to bring own oil.. but when it comes to warranty, she said not to mention tht u used other oil. but make sure u trust the engine oil tht u bought. i used semi sync Bardahl for my 1k service a week ago.. I suggest u to use Semi rather than Full. Semi can also be used for 8k-10k km. Full synthetic is mostly for bigger engine like 1.8 n above.. n it is thicker n heavier compare to Semi. for 1.6, u will feel abit heavier to rev if u use fully synth.. plus, fully is also used for those country that have winter season as the oil wont freeze up during winter n easy to warm the engine up. |

QUOTE(rckh @ Sep 3 2010, 04:47 PM) I have used Bardahl semi 10W 40 once before @ 10K km oil change & I find that my car does not run as smoothly as when I am using Delphi semi 10W 40. Did you buy the Bardahl @ RM65-something? Its contents is measured in quarts instead of litres. I also feel Fully syn. is a waste of money on the Persona. If you have a lot of $ or you can buy Fully syn. cheap, by all means, us it. By the way, I have used my own lube all this time. yeah.. Bardahl semi syn is only 3.85 litre. Delphi also not bad. heard some good feedback too on delphi. is it 4 litre? I will give a try for next service if the price is almost the same. |

QUOTE(ZenGTMM @ Sep 7 2010, 12:16 AM) I guess the main prob during balik kampung is not ppl speeding and causing accidents.. Its ppl going too slow till they fall asleep.. its kinda true bro.. a few yers ago, i got into an accident with my ex-kancil coz of goin 70kmh on the highway at nite..luckily the accident only involved me, ma car and the divider..after tht, i didnt feel like giving any sh*ts abt speedtrap as long as i was alerted n not sleepy.. but this balik kampung trip i will try n drive around 105kmh. n plus, for me persona seats dont really get ma head sleepy. |

QUOTE(MjMax15 @ Sep 7 2010, 06:23 PM) no problem, im using 16'' due to lot traveling in city..not much for long distance..if using 17" more power to move from static position. using auto with 1.6 summore yeah..kind of high price like hongzheng said.. but its all good.its depend on user preference though. ![]() ![]() i dunno since im noob about car accessories its 7jj as far as i know, rim: W961 16'' 8H HB using tyre 205/50X16 KR10..and yes that right..KENDA tyre. workshop said their origin from japan. and i dont mind since my budget really constraint as long my journey is safe. just like wat uve purchased. dont feel regret.. the weight of ur rims r stated on the in side part.. i dont tthink Kenda is from japan. kenda company itself established in Taiwan. but u can check on ur tires where they were made in.. QUOTE(ruztynail @ Sep 7 2010, 10:05 PM) quick question i wanna change my break pads to the ceramic ones like the one here. http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1300445.. keep the ori one.. later if u wanna claim warranty, just switch back to ori.will this void my warranty as i am not using proton ori parts? can i jus buy and thn ask some ah kiong mechanic to change it? thanks!!! QUOTE(Kevio @ Sep 7 2010, 11:52 PM) u serious? u filled the tires with nitrogen gas??? will slightly save fuel. this is something new 2 me...is it supposed 2 b better? QUOTE(patdidi @ Sep 9 2010, 08:45 AM) ![]() ![]() I went to SC yesterday for 5000km service interval and look what they have found. my fead belt really worn out, luckily it didn't break while me driving. they told me that it was part defect (mean; their supplier of this belt are to blame). really frustrated to see new car with 6000km age already already have such problem. my 158,000km age kelisa had never such problem. i told the sc, why proton car have so much problem? I really regret not getting perodua car instead and they only smile and said "thank you for supporting us at proton". huh... |

got back from balik kampung journey today.. i spent RM90 on fuel to travel from Kota Bharu->K. Terengganu->Kuantan->KL. n still got about RM15 ++ left in the tank.
Driving style: 130-140km/h on the highway n 80-100km/h on normal road. 1 hr stop n sleep in da car with A/C on. |

QUOTE(spikey2506 @ Sep 14 2010, 11:57 PM) Hmm.. The underside of my front bumper got scratched today. Misjudged a ramp that was too steep for the Persona's nose. Although it cannot be seen without looking under, sakit hati woo.. I'm fighting the urge to always look at the scratches. ma car also got 2 little scratches on the bottom side of the car..i also kinda hated it... but luckily its on the bottom side coz if i install side skirts i wont c it anymore. |
