Hi all.

New Persona owner here. Got it last Sat.

Please add me to the list.

Persona Elegance M-Line (Tranquility Black)

Added on September 20, 2010, 1:57 pm..just sharing my 2 days experience with the Persona..

Day 1: The car alignment is a bit off to the left..same goes with the steering wheel.
Day 2: There was this klunk klunk sound when i make u turn or hard corner.
Door lock for front passenger failed to work properly.

went to SC just now and they added the orifice valve to rectify the klunk klunk sound and managed to get him to repair the door lock before i go back to work (i visit them during lunch time)

the mechanic promised to rectify alignment problem together with my 1st service later this week.

so far, fuel consumption is ok i would say. Around 7.6L/100km using Shell RON97. (Full tank approx: RM80).

7.6L per 100km. quite save man... is it based on meter or manual calculatation?
*
Meter calculation. Btw mine is with manual transmission. Will calculate manually after the first service

I went to proton edar jelutong, penang

Added on September 20, 2010, 11:40 pmSigh....discover another problem. Aircond switch turn on automatically after i start the car eventhough i ardy turn the switch off.
...
And the door lock failed to function AGAIN.
I wish there is a list of persona problems posted here. I might miss some other things... (p1 should gimme more rebates for the QC job i did with my 2day old persona)

thank you, i previously drive auto(family car) and seldom drive manual, but not a problem. Just that I'm thinking whether the 6k difference between B-line and M-line does worth it

thank you, so not a problem cox i drove iswara before then... curious just why people complain bout it.

i drove manual car for more than 6 years. never have problem with changing gears.
with the new persona, the engine stop few times (gear 1) and seriously my hand 'lenguh' due to changing gears. maybe am just not used to it. regret for not taking auto transmission. *sigh*

just ask them to change the door lock thingy , i think its a piece of metal  blush.gif inside the door .. very easy only, sometimes the solve it their 'way' first
see can work o not , if cannot then only the change the part for u ..  whistling.gif
*
am listing out all the problems...hopefully they can get it all fixed during the 1st service. even though most of the things are under warranty, i would like to avoid going back and forth to the SC. (unnecessary cost for new car whistling.gif )

my prev car was 4g13 MT..  the diff with my current PE b-line MT are the clutch and gear shift.
PE clutch needs to be released higher.. n gear shift got shorter shift and abit harder.. but i think its bcoz of the clutch wear is still new..

my car idling rpm is lower than 1k rpm.. i may need to ask SC to adjust to 1k rpm.
too lazy to balance da clutch all the time.  tongue.gif

gonna do the same.. malu la enjin mati during traffic jam.. blush.gif

Me too!!! I drove manual car for more than 10 years, hardly have problem changing gear too. With the new Persona, i have experienced engine died few times and regretted for getting the manual transmission at first. But now after driving for 4300++ km, I kinda used to it already and the engine died episode is getting lesser and lesser.  tongue.gif
*
I am still trying to get used to it. But tangan is still lenguh.

Added on September 21, 2010, 11:10 pmMore problems each day...
Now, seatbelt indicator not working...then driver window already got sound.

Anybody know how to check the production number for persona. Was wondering if they gave me old stock or wht...

Added on September 22, 2010, 11:47 pmi saw one post in V8 thread saying that persona sold by agent is C grade while those from P.Edar is A grade. Anyone can verify this?

as i keep on getting new problem with the persona each day, i am wondering whether this is true. in addition, when i received my car, all QC stickers and plastic already removed. its my first new car and i dont get the chance to tear the plastic off the seat.. cry.gif

dis saturday am going to send it for 1st service and am not sure if i can get all my problems rectified.

want to support malaysian product but...haih..

Anyone experience on this, just 1.6k mileage sad.gif

I experienced the same thing and i sent my car for tyre balancing. The car goes smoothly @120kmh with lesser rattling sound.
