im not watching the game....3-0 defeat means we are not good enough...iim not feel so sad cause i believe we will lose again...

it showed that man city is not a mid-table club anymore...just look at their subs....their total value alone are higher than our 1st eleven's. for me, 3-0 is lucky considering how we've spent so far in d transfer market compare to theirs. its abit strange why our so called die-hard fans expect us to win or draw this game in da 1st place.

QUOTE(triple02 @ Aug 24 2010, 03:21 PM)
And coming to City , I did watch the match last nite, I was quite surprised Roy did play a 4-4-2 formation, our midfield was badly overrun with A.Johnson and Milner getting their way. Gerrard was ineffective as he needed to often come back to support the defense, Lucas was holding the ball well but too bad he kept on passing laterally than passing the player a few yard infront of him. We tended to ping the ball without any real attacking intent and from what i saw lacked real urgency. there was a period for about 5 mins in the second half that we played with urgency which Hart pulled off a brilliant double save, but apart from that end product was lacking.
*
I hope this is not reflective of things to come, against smaller (sorry everton & gang) teams 4-4-2 could work better, but against the bigger boys (oh i hate to now up MC to one of the lads above us) its almost impossible, its like RH going old (dated) school tactics.

We would be mauled in champions league employing such tactics. (thank goodness we aren't, to save us the indignity)

this is NOT funny. it doesnt bodes well of the Liverpool FC. Soon we'll be know as a mid table club like Fulham FC...
shit, deja Vu.

worried? who is Worried? To think of it the riches of the mega $$ MC struggled against 4-4-2 of spurs only 9 days ago walked & overan Liverpool FC yesterday. huh worried?

I'm pretty sure Javier Mascherano will be fined by liverpool as act of indiscipline (if its true that the media made known masch boycotts this game or coming games). But its the repercussion that when it ripples amongst the players that is far more damaging. LFc fans better be bracing for this.

hi! biggrin.gif

last nite was funny.
lucas in empty space, gerrard with ball.
gerrard passes to someone who was completely marked instead...think it was johnson biggrin.gif

Seriously... Lucas really need to contribute more. No game play no defense... and always give out funny freekick to opponents. sweat.gif

RH is not a world class manager. whether his stint at Liverpool will change that, i am not sure. I hope so...but his career so far doesnt show anything spectacular.

but the moment Rafa was sacked and we were panicky about Gerrard and Torres, he was available and he steadied the ship.

Whether he is the manager to transform our performances on the pitch, its remains to be seen.

Maybe the fans will up their tempo to get the Yanks out and get rid of our debts...

nobody would complained if we played negatively in away games against strong team like m.city...the only time i remember our fans complaining is when we played negatively at home!

Javier Mascherano has already agreed terms on an £85,000 a week contract with Barcelona, it has been claimed.

The midfielder refused to play in Liverpool’s 3-0 defeat by Manchester City on Monday night, with boss Roy Hodgson admitting that the 26-year-old’s head had been turned.

Even if it is, family comes first. I'm sure there is a great deal of pressure on him to leave the country as his wife can't get settled and enduring another 6 months or year in an environment you are uncomfortable in is tough. I'm sure it's on his mind all the time and I for one don't blame him for being unsettled. I hope that the club reaches an agreement with Barcelona and we both get what we want.

agree, a true pro will give his all & his march does time & again but his family being unsettled is too much to ask for himself to commit 100%. its best LFc finds headway.

rafa made him & we got the best out of march. its pointless LFc to keep him.

They weren't.

Also, if Mascherano does leave now, Aquiliani going to Juventus would be one of the largest cock-ups Roy could ever make.

And as for Mascherano refusing to play, if true, family and what not, it's still a d*** move to refuse to play.

not exactly rubbish

they just didn't want to lose that time(and thus fielding 3 DM) and almost all key player in spurs are in form(bale, huddlestone, dafoe, lennon, dos santos....)

i don't see any sort particular mistake in RH plans, but more like the player are really outmatched last night(men per men,City is better).the defence is tight while all the attacking/defending build up are neat

the player did contribute physically to the game, but i didn't see any flare whatsoever from liverpool apart of the skipper(Torres is out of form, jovanovic and kuyt didn't quite contribute much, skrtel is outplayed by milner and ajohnson...)

Must have been watching a different game then because I remember Joe Hart giving a man-of-the-match performance with at least 2 world class saves.

Well like us, he's only human. I won't pretend to understand what was going through his head but from what I know of him, he wouldn't do willingly do anything detrimental to the club.

I have no problem if he is to leave anytime soon because of family problem. The problem with him now is that he is trying to force a move out by refusing to play which is a big no no to me.

according to press reports, he refused to play to force transfer..
according to our manager, he wasn't selected because he wasn't in the right frame of mind - and not because he refused to play.

who should I believe then???
