Lads, held your heads up high!
It's just a game! Although its demoralizing, but we're just 2 games from the start. There are still 36 games to go.
Personally, I'm looking forward to the next game. brows.gif

Add some positivity into the thread will ya? laugh.gif

the most important thing is cole will be back in time to play against MU.

next 2 games against WBA and then away to birmingham which is abit tough.

Seriously, Adam Johnson, that kid is a gem. He reminds me of the old joe cole. And last nite we play a 4-4-2 formation, its a new system that the team needs to get use too.

I really favor Liverpool playing a 4-4-2 to be honest.
4-4-2 will generate more goal (possibly). I want Liverpool to score rampaging goals!!

RH, please make it possible!

Never before in my life and all these years of supporting Liverpool, I have felt so utterly disconsolate, to be roundly may i say "thrashed" by Manchester City, I have seen worse beatings that Liverpool has taken, notably against United and Chelsea and Arsenal,

but i always had a sense that its going to be OK, that sense of optimism but to feel this way so early in the season, Personally Im the most the optimistic person when it comes to talking about Liverpool Football Club and yet this season im not feeling optimistic as prior to seasons before.

Not forgetting that if we dont find any owners soon, administration looms and the inevitable deduction of points. not being a doom monger but these are times of uncertainty and the prospect of it happening is very real. I tended to brush it under the carpet and hoped things will work out for the best, but seeing things as it is, Its sad to see how far we have fallen. and yes no doubt we may smash 5-6 past WBA next weekend and everything will look dandy and trendy, I'd think, that is the only joy that we get as Liverpool fan these days...to live in the moment of victory rather than savoring on the success'es of the the season past

And coming to City , I did watch the match last nite, I was quite surprised Roy did play a 4-4-2 formation, our midfield was badly overrun with A.Johnson and Milner getting their way. Gerrard was ineffective as he needed to often come back to support the defense, Lucas was holding the ball well but too bad he kept on passing laterally than passing the player a few yard infront of him. We tended to ping the ball without any real attacking intent and from what i saw lacked real urgency. there was a period for about 5 mins in the second half that we played with urgency which Hart pulled off a brilliant double save, but apart from that end product was lacking.

Yaya Toure did look every part of the 26M that City paid for him. absolute beast. City deserved the 3 points.

Torres wasnt match fit, but rather than complaining why start a player who isnt match fit, I'd like to know how is a player going to get match fit if the doenst play any freaking matches? Well I wouldnt hold anything against Roy at least he did start with a positive lineup nor im going to complain Torres isnt supposed to start because he isnt "match fit" . We fans are a bunch of fickle minded lots arent we, when someone start with 4-4-2 we'd clamor for a more defensive lineup and yet when we play a defensive lineup, we'd wonder why the hell arent we playing a more positive lineup

Will be interesting to see how we'll play once we get out team settled. Torres, Gerrard Cole and with the others supporting pretty decent.. one can only hope for the best.

it was reported that we've rejected a 16mil bid from barca recently. it seems barca board are keen on masch while pep guardiola isnt. i dont know how far this is true, but as of right now, barca seem like the only team that is after masch. i wonder if the transfer dont happen, will masch be able to play for us in 'the right state' of mind again ?

guys, please keep in mind that MC is not a so-so team anymore.
They might be in the past but their line-up is on par with other big teams in the league. Some of you might not agree with me but I think that for a team like MC to beat our team 3-0 is nothing to be ashamed of.

Be positive, let the team gel and hopefully we can get the flow and start the Liverpool marauding engine. nod.gif

When RB played 4-5-1, people complaining too negative
When RH played flat 4-4-2 with attacking minded, people said suicide.

Errr.... don't know what to say.

When lost, everything is not right.
When win, everything is right.

We must accepted that with current squad and team issue, Liv is not going to win every game. The target of this season is 4-7th or should I said this is the realistic expectation

We also must know, Man City, no longer the old Man City, they are now a big team, Liv is not in term of financially.

We should judge after 8-10 matches, as first 2 games against Arsenal and Man City, is not a push over.

If cannot win or lose further 2 matches, like WBA, Birmingham, then start the bazooka to criticise also not too late.

Just my 2 cents.

Yo, Lucas and Ngog hater here. Both have no close ball control and both even not good enuff to play for U-18's. No wonder Liverpool got thrashed.

the part about some silly old fart saying we need to spend to succeed rings true? or should we say we can manage with small squad but its just better effective tactics (ie RH employs to succeed to a degree with fulham) over the lone striker some dinky manager that looks like some fat spanish waiter employs tactically

it only goes to show how sad we have become.

i can accept that MC improved & giving us a hard time, maybe losing 1-2, 0-1 but 0-3 its a little more cause of alarm

truly sad

i noticed that..
and on A FEW (not just once!) occasions when johnson was cornered and closed down..he wanted to pass the ball desperately,
we saw his face and hand gestures shouting "where are my teammates when i need to pass this ball badly?"

..and as we knew, he would lose the ball, and we got counter attacked..now, where were the players and the midfield ?

to built a big team is not a 1 day work..
there is no 'I' in a TEAM..

a great history of the club will lead to victory.. nod.gif

he is from Liv academy, loyalty 100%..!!
