emotions and biasness off..

its not about winning or losing 1 game..
its not about there were only 2 games and the season is still long ahead..
its not about predicting the future, and living the past (last season disasters)..

its about how we played like shit..
and how deep shit we're in..

optimistic vs denial..at the bottom of our hearts we know we're in real deep shit..coz we care

yes we were without joe cole, this was the excuse i had when the match is over

but hang on a minute, didn't we played against arsenal for 45 minutes WITHOUT him? wink.gif

i seriously have my doubt with 4-4-2, not gonna work with the players we have. Both CM are way too deep to have any impact in the game, which probably explain why on numerous occasion Torres have to come so deep just to get the ball.

My guess is this Masch on strike thing had happen last week before the europa league game, Roy tested 4-4-2 with Cole on the wing and both Torres and ngog up front in the later stage of that game.

listen up,about the team morale, remember we still got 2 matches to play this week, and good thing is we are on the front seat to win the 2nd leg against Trabzonspor,a win there and a win then against lower table team West Brom on Sunday sure gonna give us a morale boost back nod.gif

3-0, its not the scoreline that hurts, its the way we played. dare i say, rafa will never have "tested" a FLAT 442 formation , away from home, against the best squad in the premier league WITHOUT 2 NATURAL wingers who can actually CROSS the ball. I don't remember we ever got outplayed this badly under rafa ( could be rose tainted memories :-P )

Im afraid we MAY have hired a manager that is suited to a lesser team, i.e win your home matches and do what you can for away games. You dont finish in the top 4 with kind of thinking ... sigh....

What a wake-up call... 3 - 0

At least now Liverpool know where they stand. Cash investment is hard to come by, so the players have to stick together... no excuse.
...That's what RH would always tell his players.

Mashy should respect the fact that it was Liverpool that re-ignite his career, the least he can do it respect the board decision and play... He did signed a contract also ma... why footballers now a days like that one.

Given that both Jova and Kuyt are actually strikers and not midfielders, we effectively played with two midfielders : Gerrard and Lucas!

I would either haved played Poulsen and Maxi in place of Lucas and Torres (let him come on later) or Poulsen and Agger again in place of Lucas and Torres, and played Carra as LB with Soto & Skrtle as CBs. As it turned out, I think we were out-skilled (Johnson & Milner) and outmuscled (De Jong & Toure) in the middle.

Perhaps RH is still getting to know his players and has overestimated Torres and Gerrard. This is a major hiccup!?

The only positive thing about it is that this has happened early ..
