my fella reds... be prepared for another season of "we have to start rebuilding all over again".  I think we have this every.. maybe 4 or 5 or 6 years once.  Vicious cycle.

I am not losing faith here.  I would love to be challenging to be champion and not waking up early Fri morning to watch us playing in Europa but we have to realistic here.

Mourinho insists: I could never manage Liverpool

Jose Mourinho says he would gladly take over the managerial reins at Manchester United, Arsenal or even Chelsea - but he would never become coach of Liverpool.

Mourinho and ex-Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez never saw eye-to-eye

Mourinho, currently preparing for his first season as Real Madrid boss, says he harbours thoughts of a return to the Premier League but could never take the top job at Anfield.

While he was at former club Chelsea, Mourinho had a fractious relationship with then Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez, and he incensed their fans with a gesture during the Carling Cup final in 2005.

He told the Daily Mail: "Manchester United would be a great challenge for me. But Liverpool is not the club for me. I know why, but I cannot tell you. Tottenham, Everton... Arsenal maybe. These are all fine clubs with very good managers.

"You can dream of what happens in one, two, three or four years. Who knows? I cannot say, but I think you have an idea of what I think about. I had a dream about being the manager of Real Madrid. It has come true. For me that is incredible."

Although Mourinho insists his immediate priority is wresting the Spanish title from rivals Barcelona, he has again spoken of his desire to return to England one day.

He added: "My ambition is success and I wanted to manage Real Madrid. I have no plans to leave. I have only just arrived. There is much work to be done. I do not know how long it will take. But I give my commitment to Real Madrid and we will see. Nothing is forever.

"But I have to commit. I can't say Real Madrid one season, Manchester United, Liverpool the next, Barcelona after that. But I like England very much. I have many good friends there."

Mourinho refused to rule out the possibility of returning to former club Chelsea - the club that sacked him in September 2007 - where he won their first league title in 50 years.

He said: "Many of the Chelsea players are still good friends of mine and I always watch for their results and progress. They are doing well. Ancelotti is a fine coach and that is good for the club because they are a great club with many, many nice people."

"I am careful what I say and what I think. For me it might be impossible. I don't know. I am not saying I would not like to. Who knows? Football is strange and beautiful at the same time."

Aquilani plans Juve stay

Alberto Aquilani has said he has no plans to return to Liverpool after sealing his loan move to Juventus.

Aquilani joined Liverpool from Roma last summer following the sale of Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid, but he struggled to make an impression and has now been allowed to return to Italy.

The loan includes an option to make the deal permanent and, while Aquilani says he is happy to have played for Liverpool, he is determined to stay in his homeland and force his way back into the Italy side.

"England has been a very beautiful experience, but I am here to stay," Aquilani said. "I am a professional and Juventus is a fundamental stage in my career to get me back in contention with the national team."

He added: "Leaving Roma was a difficult choice, but I helped my club resolve financial problems."

Meanwhile, Juventus have announced that striker Amauri is expected to be sidelined for 25 days due to a thigh injury. It means he will miss Italy's Euro 2012 qualifiers against Estonia and Faroe Islands.

Watched the season review at supersport 3 of our closest season to the title while having sahur. Almost bawwed..

Alonso did so much for us back then, i hope Meireles can deliver the good stuff and make good passes for the strikers. We do have some cash left from the Masch deal rite? Time to get a proven striker Roy!

Tottenham's £9m offer for Babel may be insane but Liverpool are using that cash to buy Carlton Cole. I wonder who's got the worse deal?

well, we assume that March was loyal to club..but apparently he is not...maybe loyal was not a good word to describe the whole situation, but 'loyal as a contract says'...

he never ask Liverpool fc to save him from West Ham, but when he is here, he give the best as what he and the club agreed for. And he do his job well...

But there is a limit..you cant badmouth your club even you are a star player.....well, hope he can do well and win trophies...thank you for your service at this club...

QUOTE(cherroy @ Sep 2 2010, 04:22 PM)
I am a more realistic person.
Realistic expectation, or hope is get 4th place into CL, that's what I am predicting/expecting/hoping.

It is not about losing 1 matches and draw 1 matches or just because a 2 poor result that conclude we can win or can't win, it is the team play, personnel, that doesn't look like a ruthless and can win comfortably every match.
Unlike the top 3 teams, that almost every week, we know they can brush aside easily most teams and only occassionally slip up, Liv can't show this kind of character/form, or whatever term you named it.
It is unlike in 80's time, whenever Liv plays, we 90% confident, the team can win.
Now even can struggle against mid to lower league table team and fail to create much and under pressure or have no control on midfield.

Yes, I am much agree, once players left, don't need to badmouth about previous issue. Things move on.

+1, im with you...no EPL this year, and HOPING we will win FA Cup... smile.gif
