- the loan of aquaman - the team lack of creativity
I don't actually see releasing Aquilani as a mistake. I see buying him as a bigger mistake because he made no contribution as he was either sick, injured, or too fragile. 20 million down the drain.

QUOTE(all blacks @ Sep 20 2010, 11:17 AM)
On the 2nd goal actually Konchesky could have saved it as he was supposed to be the post man but I wasn't really sure what he was doing by standing slightly further away from post n hiding behind Reina... sad.gif
*
Spot on. When I watched the replay last night, Konchesky started on the post, but moved to the middle as the ball went past him. He should have stuck to the post because that's where players aim their headers, to steer the ball farthest away from the keeper as possible

gullible fans still believe in the american lies. if hick gets his way, how can we ever condemn world class players leaving us. we are stacked like a deck of cards & already the foundation is weak to begin with.

I wish not of the ill path but there are too many ill signs to suggest we are a like an sickening runaway train when rafa was sacked.

thanks fergie for the support of RH who is in talking friendly terms with you. It makes realise how much a threat he the fat spainish was to you. Football is war, winning thropies is serious. I dont see generals need to be licking your sandals everytime topic of english football (our rivalry) is mentioned.  doh.gif

Damn yanks are going to refinance their loans again. Seriously, if this were 10 years ago, there would be little doubt we'd collapse the same way Leeds did. Our saving grace is that billionaires are looking for a new hobby and football is near top of the list. Now if only those two clowns would just cut their losses and leave.

To be fair,
Liv has been getting away from several potential penalty in the past few games even this game, especially our defenders nowadays like to holds on opponent shirt during set-piece and corner kick time.  sweat.gif

Even it ended up a draw, there still lot of worry on the performance side.

lets not drag this into some historical statistical nonsense. this is per case basis. if you guys wanna do a count, i bet you would've been ashamed to name all incidences whistling.gif

We apparently conviced both torres & gerrard that likely new owners is well on the horizon before the start of the season (for them to reaffirm with us) on carrot too was joe cole signing for us (little did we know, united (fergie specifically) turn down that opportunity before we got him. it seems we werent really his preferred desitination as we are led to believe

I havent had a single GOOD news of liverpool fc. Almost everything it seems a stack of continuos deception that is piling & burdening LFC & his loyal LFc fans.

THIS BY FAR IS THE MOST FUSTRATING PERIOD OF LIVERPOOL EVER I HAVE SEEN. < it is not far fetch.

we now have west ham, everton, Wigan, stoke & wolves for company. cool2.gif sign we use to rub shoulders with real madrid, barcelona, arsenal, chelsea

we are still in la-la land? that its only belief alone we will rise up in ranks?
We need a got damn red pill & not the blue pill to wake & smell the dumps we are in.

take the god d#mn red pill you fellas. We were made to be rubbish by the cowboys & not rafa.

in all honesty i did expect the mancs to win this match but the manner of how they won just leaves me gutted..to come back from 2 goals down when we were piss poor and to conceed another goal minutes later.

You got to wonder what happened to our defense it was pretty non-existant tragically, and everytime MU pressed us up high, we hoofed the ball we have a ball playing CB in Agger but he's getting wasted on the bench or getting shunted to the left. you cant put square pegs in round hole Roy. Ill still support him but for the love of god grow a pair and be more positive from this match onwards

At least he brought in Ngog for Maxi who had an appaling match.Time to give Babel a run in the team

Now our next 5 matches before Chelsea are against may i say lower class opposition funny since this coming from a supporter that supports a fast becoming lower class team. Lets see how it goes and our play improves for the better and say what you want about Gerrard but Ive made my mind about him. What a legend and it would be criminal for him not to get a BPL title which would be impossible he if still remains at Liverpool. His legacy will remain intact if he ever decides to leave LiverpoolFC for another BPL club

just off topic, had massive fun in Somo glad to see many fellow Reds coming together for this match. was smashed by the end of the match.hope to see many of you guys attending the next viewing as well! smile.gif

it is gonna be a frustrating period for us, so hang in there guys. some people would say the uncertainty about the issues of our owners and debts influenced the matters on field but i blv players are professional enough to try their best to do their job on the pitch as these issues are out of their hands. at the rate we are going, we are gonna lose our top players, n we might even have to go through a major rebuilding. that is not what roy was brought in for. talking about the first goal, after the first corner, konchesky went from the far post to near post realising the threat, but somehow we still concede, so all in all, its our own failings in defending that cost us 2 goals, though the 2nd goal from berba was brilliant with a tiny bit of luck tho not many players could have done that smile.gif

some of u blame the lack of creativity but i'd blame it on the narrow play n absence of natural width to widen the play and opening up spaces and also minimal running behind defenders.. esp considering we had most of the possession

It is not just creativity alone, (although it does), currently the team seem can't string passes or exchange passes accurately, let alone the creativity.
The only accurate passes are between defender and midfield only, once beyond opponent half, players look loss, little off the ball running to create space for midfielder to pass, as well as midfielders don't create passes and space to the forwards, except a few occassion primary through Joe Cole.

Arsenal always play quite narror, yet, their passes is damn good and can create spaces for themselves even in a narrow and crowded situation.

lets just dont mention anything mor about the owners. its ancient, and its tiring.

i think we have better chance of replacing manager than owners now.

MON is available, linked to us by one website (i forgot the name, certainly not sun or goal.com), i see go for it MON. RH is just clueless. friends with SAF? no liverpool manager should be made to look like an idiot by our biggest enemy

and the way we play, just back to the once boring pounce-and-hope type. our defenders are just a panic bunch or clueless people. heck our backline are old timers, why are we panicking for? shakehead.gif

watching torres' body language just made me cry. it feels like you are trying so hard yet there's nothing you can do. other than gerrard, reina and meireles, the rest of the team are just unreliable at the moment

1st goal u dont blame torres not markin bbtov well?
2nd goal u dont blame skrtel or carra not markin bbtov?
3rd goal u dont blame carra lost aerial against bbtov?

all 3 goal are caused by poor MARKING
*
I can't disagree with this..It's just poor defending..And notice something here..all their goals were from crosses..against birmingham also we struggle defending crosses..very obvious weakness so far..i wish we had a 30 year old hyypia now..we really need to improve on defense..especially in dealing with crosses..

skrtel and carra had been very solid with crosses, wonder what happened this season?

where is aurelio? sick again? or still sick? why do we even want to keep a player we can use 5 games per season. we are not using our resources correctly

Surprisingly, he can still lunge in on Konchesky...Thought, that would at least break his tissue-paper-made legs into pieces.

QUOTE
Cole wants title for Stevie
Reds midfielder feels skipper deserves to win Premier League
By Mike Barton

Joe Cole has admitted that Liverpool team-mate Steven Gerrard deserves to win a Premier League medal and will strive to make the dream a reality.

The new Reds midfielder arrived at Anfield from Chelsea with a glittering collection of honours, including three title medals, something Gerrard has never won.

The England and Liverpool skipper does have a Champions League medal to his name however, which Cole did not manage to achieve with the Blues.

Gerrard has often stated his burning desire to win the title, which would complete the set for a player who has won every other major honour English football has to offer, and Cole is desperate to help get him what he wants.

"He's a tremendous player. I've known Steven since I was 17 or 18 and I obviously trained and played with him for England for 10 years so I know what he's all about," he said

"But when you see him in a Liverpool shirt he's even better. A player like him deserves to win the championship.
Fantastic player

"I know that's what he wants over the next four to five years at the club.

"He's a fantastic player and if he plays well the team plays well and it's up to me now to assist him and try to help the club move on."

Cole has endured a difficult start to his career at Anfield, but is likely to return to the starting line-up to face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday after serving a three-game ban.

Liverpool have not been in inspired form under new boss Roy Hodgson so far, but the 28-year-old insisted the team would come good once settled.

"All the lads here have got belief in what the manager wants us to do and the new signings have looked good," he added.

"It's a rebuild for us but we're doing all right, and we just need to keep improving slowly and gradually."
