yup i did snap few pics but not on how to do it...just random pics. coz rushing that time. later will upload
my idle is 53 now, ambient is around 28c non ac room...kinda hot in here sweat.gif
on load games i got around 85c. i guess its kinda succesfull repaste coz before my idle is 70c and when gaming is 106c doh.gif

Here's some pics ive took when disasembling my G73-JH. (sorry for the poor quality images. was using handphone camera lol)
ahhh i forgot to clean up the heatsink maybe got dust trap inside there cry.gif . i just remember when was halfway assemble it back...nvm will do again next time nod.gif

This is how the stock thermal paste looks like. almost nothing left sweat.gif

After i clean it with zippo oil with cloth. shiny again. and im using Artic Silver 5 for the paste.

Perhaps you can demo to us by showing to us on how much we should apply the thermal paste as I never done it before. smile.gif

Oh yea, have to clean it Zippo oil before we apply the thermal paste?

If you do it carefully(follow the guide) and with all the nescessary tools, then its not hard.
hardest part is to flip the motherboard as u might need someone to help u hold the motherboard while flipping it.
Other than that all was easy. done it around 2 hours. but i forgot to see if there a dust trap inside the heatsink doh.gif

for the thermal paste amount just put it bigger than a piece of rice. then u put back the heatsink and let it spread. after that u open back the heatsink to see if the spread is perfect.

yup need to clean it with some alcohol type coz it easy to vaporised. so i use zippo as alternative.

why many laptop almost din repaste at all, but asus g-series i saw many review on repaste?

Your N81Yp is probably easier to do.

G73 is quite hard, and G53 is even worse.

well, it's pretty easy to do, granted... everything comes with screws that re easy to spot...

planning a major overhaul now that the warranty is over soon... tongue.gif

haha congrats, mine cleared custom at 2pm and i got my laptop on 5pm same day... i think yours should come today biggrin.gif

hm... highpoint called me and they said they fixed it by reinstalling drivers... which i did 2 times... which did not solve the problem. But they so damn confident they fix it already =\

need to go to they center tmr to check my laptop...
