try verified this settings:

1. Settings -> Wireless & networks -> Mobile networks -> Network Mode
2. make sure it's set to GSM/WCDMA auto

guys.. should i wait for the htc desire hd or straight buy one? quick advise needed

You can always wait for the best, but bear in mind that after release of htc desire hd they will announce another higher end phone...
it is depends on you what you want.
there is no advice. If you prefer larger screen and you have enough budget, then go for hd....
if you have limited budget, or you are keen to grab 1 now, take desire....
yes, they might release htc desire hd in sept. But how long do you think it will arrive in Malaysia?
Htc desire also announce quite long ago, 1st thread start around Dec of 2009...
But it take around half years before we get sis set in...
So you might need to wait until March of next year...

Hey guys,

Who is using LeeDroid's ROMs? Any comments on his ROM?

I've been a loyal user of NextSense and AuraxtSense but I'm considering switching camps now. I feel that his ROMS are getting increasingly heavy with bloatwares and unneeded stuffs. I know alot of you guys here are using his ROMs so no offence,I think his ROMs are great,unbelievably stable,but consistently I feel it's getting worse and worse.

I'm ready to switch camps now. The two ROMs I have in mind is OpenDesire and LeeDroid. But I think I'm going to fancy LeeDroid coz it has Sense apps which I use. I don't use Sense launcher anymore,Launcher Pro Plus beats it IMO,much much more customizable.

On a side note,non-Sense ROMs can't install Sense apps can they?

Solved. Look like stil can boot htc sense. hui scare me to death.

take out ur SD card and connect to ur computer via a card reader, then copy the zip file in. This is the only way, get 1 card reader if u dont have 1.

Ignore the above if u still can boot into phone mod.

i couldnt tahan got my desire! anyways wanted to find out any shop out there that will put the screen protector for me properly? im bad at it...any good cases i can get?the torque i saw in another post seems the most decent looking desire case

Its really easy to put actually..Or if you really cant put urself try going to any shop that sells the protector, usually they will install for you wan..About case, there are plenty in the market..Just have to find one that suites ur taste

Guys what's the diff between ClockworkMod and AmonRa?

I'm using autrax also for jus 1 day and i already feel bloated and slower compare to official froyo Sense. Autrax is fast and stable but Sense original faster like 0.5sec. I not yet try leedroid but considering chg to Official 2.2, with: busybox, old A2SD+, OpenVPN (TUN), EXT4 support, 802.11N.

Hi guys, I downloaded HTC sync and installed. But when I connect my Desire to my pc it says no device connected in the program. I wonder if anyone knows how to deal with this problem?

both connection have to be sync..

i bought my desire sp from a stall in Tesco Shah Alam, rm10 include install

if u can find some stall in LYP selling Skool plus install for ~rm15 then just get it, it would go much higher markup anywhere else

after so many gadgets and so many sp, i came to a conclusion that the best sp is not the most expensive or with the best rating nor most features, its the one sold that includes installation

Comments on LeeDroid modded ROM.

When I rooted my Desire, LeeDroid 1.6 was my first ROM. Then I moved around a bit switching to others before coming back to 1.9c (or was it a, I forgot).

All I can say is that LeeDroid is good but the later version becomes what the others have said about AuraTSense, LeeDroid ROMS are getting increasingly heavy with bloatwares and unneeded stuffs.

No kidding. As a matter of fact, when I compared Android to an iPhone4, I noticed the stability on iPhone4 with the large 16GB storage. In today's computing and advanced technology, we should not even worry about space. Yet, with Android Froyo, I'm still lacking space. There are times I go to the Application list > select an application which the "Move to SD" button is NOT grayed out and pressed it. It would return lack of space in destination. Kinda pissifying.

I'm not saying iPhone is better, I'm saying this storage issue that I have and also some other issues such as:
1. Device rebooted on its own when updating app from Market
2. Device rebooted on its own when restoring app using Titanium Backup
3. Some app, despite the Move to SD button is clickable, does not allow to be moved to sdcard
4. SDcard is 512MB EXT and 0 SWAP, still too small and havent got the time to research how to enlarge this partition for more app.

Lastly,
AuraTSense > LeeDroid. I've never tried Open Desire though.

after finish the program says finish and i could start using my phone..

however, i hear the usual start up sound from the phone but screen remained black.

what's the problem here or it is usual ?

Alright, successfully rooted my Desire. How do I flash custom roms? I want the app2sd+ feature.. Btw I have ClockworkMod recovery installed..

Ermm.. it seems so confusing to even begin to root my phone... can I ask for a simpler and easier instructions here? I went through another xda forum.. many sets of instruction which i'm not sure who to really follow?
